Job Description The Program Leader is responsible for supporting the successful implementation of high-quality youth programming across five core areas: • Character & Leadership Development, • Education & Career Development, • Health & Life Skills, • The Arts, • Sports, Fitness & Recreation, • Assist members with homework and academic support., • Build meaningful, supportive relationships with youth., • Model and encourage positive behavior and Club values., • Promote an emotionally and physically safe environment., • Plan and lead engaging activities in:, • Academic Enrichment, • Healthy Lifestyles, • Character & Citizenship, • Collaborate with the Site Coordinator to:, • Create lesson plans and activity schedules, • Organize special or culminating events, • Maintain line-of-sight supervision of all members., • Provide positive guidance, role modeling, and conflict resolution., • Ensure safe passage during off-site trips and walking programs., • Monitor and maintain safety protocols at all times., • Participate in staff meetings and all mandatory trainings., • Support Club-wide activities, special events, and reporting as needed., • Foster strong communication with parents, guardians, school staff, and community partners., • Maintain Club equipment, spaces, and supplies. Education: • High school diploma or equivalent, • Ability to perform the essential functions of the position with or without reasonable accommodation, • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively interact with youth, families, and staff, • Strong organizational skills, including the ability to manage multiple activities, maintain required documentation, and follow program schedules, • Proficiency in using basic office technology and program-related tools or systems (e.g., email, attendance tracking systems, learning platforms), • Experience working with children and/or youth in an educational, recreational, or youth development setting, • Relevant certifications or training (e.g., CPR/First Aid, Mandated Reporter training, youth development or education-related credentials), if applicable, • Experience working in a structured, youth-serving environment that requires adherence to policies, safety standards, and program guidelines, • Ability to sit, stand, and/or walk for extended periods, • Ability to lift up to 30 pounds, • Work is performed in a club-style environment, including open floor plans, recreational areas, and outdoor activity spaces.
