Job Description Job Title: Warehouse Clerk Job Description The company is seeking a dependable and detail‑oriented Warehouse Associate to support daily shipping and logistics operations. This role plays a critical part in ensuring customer deliveries are accurate, timely, and safely prepared. The ideal candidate has strong warehouse experience, a commitment to safety, and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast‑paced environment. Responsibilities • Guarantee that all trucks are accurately prepared for the following day’s delivery., • Ensure all items, including boxes, pallets, conduit, reels, wire coils, and carts, are safely loaded onto trucks., • Verify and check all loads before truck departure to minimize customer delivery inconsistencies and inventory losses., • Oversee and prevent potential errors or inventory losses by monitoring loading and staging activities., • Ensure each route has clearly defined staging areas for yard material and designated spots for trucks to optimize efficiency., • Lead the night crew in safe and efficient loading procedures and provide direction to maintain accuracy and timeliness for each truck loading., • Understand and confirm the readiness of every loaded truck prior to route departure., • Collaborate with other teams and departments to support smooth logistics and distribution operations., • Minimum of 3 years of experience in distribution, logistics, or a related field., • Hands-on experience with warehouse management, picking, packaging, and warehouse packing., • Practical knowledge of inventory control and logistics processes., • Proficiency in relevant inventory and warehouse management software., • Strong analytical skills with the ability to make data-driven decisions., • Strong and effective communication skills for collaboration across teams and departments., • Quick and efficient problem-solving skills in a fast-paced environment., • Demonstrated dedication to upholding high safety standards in warehouse operations., • Familiarity with the electrical supply industry is preferred., • Experience organizing and maintaining route-specific staging areas., • Experience leading or guiding warehouse or night shift crews. Work Environment The role is based in a start-up warehouse environment with an intimate, close-knit team. Work primarily takes place during night shift operations, focusing on preparing trucks and materials for next-day deliveries. You will work around standard warehouse equipment and materials, including pallets, boxes, conduit, reels, wire coils, and carts, and use inventory and warehouse management software to support daily tasks. The environment is fast-paced and safety-focused, with clearly defined staging areas and designated truck spots designed to optimize workflow and efficiency. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Santa Fe Springs, CA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $25.00/hr.
