Job Description Carpenter (Custom Furniture) A growing luxury furniture manufacturer is seeking a skilled Carpenter to support its Frame & Build team. This role is responsible for cutting and assembling solid wood frames for custom upholstered furniture, as well as fabricating additional wood components. The ideal candidate demonstrates precision, efficiency, and pride in craftsmanship. Core Responsibilities • Measure, cut, and assemble solid hardwood frames for custom upholstered furniture following work orders and shop drawings, • Fabricate wood components such as frames, legs, bases, and structural parts using standard carpentry techniques, • Safely operate woodworking machinery and hand tools including table saws, miter saws, band saws, planers, and jointers, • Install blocking, reinforcements, and structural components during and after assembly, • Verify measurements, squareness, and alignment before releasing frames to the next department, • Make necessary adjustments or repairs to meet quality and dimensional standards, • Follow daily production schedules and priorities, • Maintain punctuality and reliability, • Demonstrate willingness to learn and refine skills, • Keep a clean, organized workstation and follow all safety protocols Experience & Qualifications • 2–4 years of experience in furniture framing or carpentry, ideally in custom or high-end production, • Strong experience with precise measuring, cutting, and assembly using hardwoods and plywood, • Solid understanding of structural integrity and furniture construction techniques, • Strong attention to detail and pride in workmanship, • Ability to work independently while collaborating with a team, • Bilingual English/Spanish preferred but not required
