This position will provide support to Sales Management through sales and retention goals and assignments. This position will help to generate new members and retain current VIVA Medicare members via corporate marketing activities through sales, advertising, and scheduling events. This position will build relationships in the community and implement collaborative and educational events at retail locations and in the community to increase awareness, retain members, and improve branding. This position will travel to locations within the VIVA HEALTH service area through a reliable means of transportation insured in accordance with Company policy. Key Responsibilities • Oversee the Montgomery retail location in the designated territory. This includes ensuring the retail store is opened and staffed; planning and hosting marketing, retention and educational activities; and maintaining established inventory levels for plan materials, promotional items, and office supplies., • Assist with VIVA Cafe building upkeep and vendor oversight to ensure adherence to maintenance schedule and contracts., • Coordinate VIVA Cafe security including assigning badges to other VIVA HEALTH employees working in the cafe, updating door lock schedules for planned closures, emergency weather closures, emergency lock protocols, and managing routine alarm hardware maintenance (e.g. battery replacements on sensors), as well as being the main point of contact for alarm monitoring and response in the event of an alarm event., • Provide remote and/or in-person backup to other VIVA Cafes and the Inside Sales Team, as needed., • Assist with training and supervising the Market Support Representative, including annual reviews., • Restock or communicate VIVA Cafe inventory needs for promo items, marketing materials, and general cafe supplies., • Collaborate with Territory Marketing Representatives (TMRs) and brokers in sales and retention activities., • Participate in and/or host Community Events to raise brand awareness and build community relationships., • Cultivate relationships with local health care providers and contacts in the Medicare community (community agencies, senior centers, independent and assisted living facilities, churches, charities, etc.) to support market retention., • Educate the Medicare-eligible population, providers, and community contacts on the features of the Medicare product to promote retail sales and member retention and tie the store into the community., • Provide, develop, and express recommendations for issues related to the marketing strategy, event coordination geared toward retention of current business and quality improvement., • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience, • 1 year experience in retail development or management or operations oversight, • 1 year experience in sales and/or service, preferably within the healthcare field, • Valid driver's license in good standing, • Current State of Alabama Department of Insurance Producer License or eligible for licensing in AL within 90 days of employment, • Current America’s Health Insurance Plans (AHIP), VIVA Annual Benefits Testing, and Guarantee Trust Life (GTL) or eligible for licensing within 90 days of employment, • Requires face-to-face member contact and may require duties to be performed away from the principal place of business, • Willing to submit to vaccine testing and screening, • Maintain an excellent working knowledge of Medicare regulations, the managed care industry in general, the competitive environment, pertinent legislation, and other information useful in successfully marketing the Medicare product, • Ability to assist in coordinating events and marketing activities within the designated market, • Possess technical skills sufficient to operate a desktop, laptop and iPad in the retail store and from the field, • Proficient with Salesforce, Microsoft Word, Excel, and various other computer databases and internal programs, • Experienced speaking and presenting to large groups and audiences, • Ability to be flexible, adaptable, and work effectively in a variety of settings, • 3 years’ experience in retail development, management, and operations oversight, • 3 years’ experience in Sales and/or Service, preferably within the healthcare field, • Ability to move/lift items up to 25 pounds, • Salesforce expertise
