Job Description About the opportunity AirNow, a Southern Home Services Company, is growing. We support a nationwide family of residential HVAC, plumbing, and electrical brands—and we’re adding a Residential HVAC Diagnostics Specialist to keep homeowners comfortable and safe. A day in the life Your morning begins in a company vehicle, route planned, tools ready. First stop: a no-cool call where you quickly assess airflow, electrical components, and refrigerant levels. Midday, you perform seasonal maintenance, cleaning condensate drains and verifying system efficiency. By afternoon, you’re explaining your findings to a homeowner, offering options, and completing a precise repair—leaving the worksite cleaner than you found it and the system running safely and efficiently. What you’ll handle • Diagnose, service, and repair residential HVAC systems for optimal performance and safety., • Clean, adjust, and fix components such as air handlers, ductwork, vents, and condensate drainage., • Perform routine and emergency maintenance; document work thoroughly and follow all safety standards., • Communicate clearly with customers, provide expert recommendations, and deliver a first-class experience., • Support occasional system inspections, adjustments, and upgrades; complete additional duties as assigned. What you bring, • 2–5+ years of HVAC experience, ideally focused on residential service (light commercial exposure a plus)., • Current EPA certification (required)., • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record., • Strong troubleshooting and critical-thinking ability to resolve complex HVAC issues., • Positive, quality-driven mindset with professional communication at all levels., • Customer-obsessed, adaptable team player who thrives in changing conditions. Physical demands, • Lift 50 lbs routinely and up to 100 lbs on occasion., • Climb ladders; access attics and crawlspaces; navigate tight areas; push, pull, carry; operate hand tools; perform fine-detail work., • Drive regularly., • Work indoors and outdoors, including attics and crawlspaces., • Stand, walk, sit; talk and hear in person and by phone., • Use hands to handle tools/controls; reach with arms and hands., • Frequently stoop, kneel, bend, and crouch., • Regular exposure to extreme heat/cold and adverse weather (wind, rain, ice, snow).
