Role Overview The Assistant School Director is a leadership and multi-functional position supporting daily school operations across Sales, Staff Management, Administration, Marketing, Programming, and Facilities. This role plays a key part in driving enrollment growth, delivering outstanding customer service, supporting instructors and staff, and ensuring students receive an inspiring, high-quality music education experience. Essential Duties and Responsibilities • Support the delivery of an exceptional music education experience by ensuring strong student engagement, retention, and enrollment growth., • Build and maintain positive relationships with parents, students, staff, and the surrounding community., • Provide top-quality customer service, including billing support, scheduling, communication, and issue resolution.n, • Assist in delivering an excellent music education program, including recruiting and supporting exceptional music teachers and identifying iconic performance venues., • Support all levels of sales and promotional efforts to drive school success, including lead generation, prospect follow-up, and developing new sales opportunities through existing and new customers., • Help plan, manage, and oversee student shows, bands, and events that provide inspiring performance opportunities., • Assist in managing staff performance and school facilities to ensure a safe, welcoming, and professional environment for students and employees., • Support the school's financial management, including analyzing results, tracking budgets, time tracking, and staff scheduling., • Partner closely with the School Director to implement policies, procedures, and operational best practices.Key Attributes, • Passion for music and music education, with a belief that access to the arts enriches lives at all ages, • Strong communication and interpersonal skills that support the schools mission, foster teamwork, and inspire students, families, and staff., • Ability to build and maintain positive internal and external relationships while operating with professionalism, integrity, humility, and a growth mindset, • Organized, proactive, and comfortable balancing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environmentEducation and Experience, • Prior experience in leadership, administration, sales, or operations within a retail, education, or service-based environment, • Knowledge of best practices in customer service, sales, staff development, and operational management, • Understanding of local arts, culture, and community engagement is a plus, • Proven sales and customer-service experience required, • Experience with marketing, communications, and event planning preferred, • Bachelors degree in a related field (business, management, music, or similar) preferredSkills, • Proficient in spoken and written English; additional languages are a plus, • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, • Hands-on experience with scheduling and time-tracking systems, • Basic financial, accounting, and budgeting skillsPhysical Demands, • Ability to work core business hours, including evenings and weekends as needed, • Ability to lift and move equipment associated with daily operations (amplifiers, keyboards, recording equipment, light furniture, etc.), up to 50 lbs., • 401(k) retirement plan, • Paid time off (PTO), • Professional growth and leadership development opportunities Skills • Must be proficient in English speaking and writing skills; additional languages are desirable but not required., • Proficiency with MS Office, • Hands-on experience using time-tracking systems for reporting of hours and scheduling, • Must be able to work during core business hours; the ability to work beyond 40 hours in a workweek will be required to include evenings and weekends., • Must be able to lift and move equipment typically associated with B2Rs day-to-day operation, e.g., amplifiers, keyboards, recording equipment, light furniture, etc., upwards of 50 lbs.
