Server Assistant / Food Runner Job Responsibilities: • Assist Servers in providing warm and efficient service to all guests, • Service tables with enthusiasm and a genuine smile welcoming their presence, • Adhere to established service standards and protocols, • Deliver orders timely and correctly, and perform table maintenance in an efficient and gracious manner, • Check in after courses are dropped within an appropriate timeframe to ensure their satisfaction, • Assist servers in proper rotation and polishing of glassware, silverware, and other service items, • Follow proper hospitality standards when interacting with any guest, • Come to work prepared with appropriate tools, laundered and pressed uniform, correct shoes, and a good attitude, • Strong, upbeat and positive personality, • Commitment to high standards with impeccable attention to detail, • Ability to multi-task in a high volume, fast paced environment, • Team and oriented mentality, • Dependability, • Passion for food, beverage and hospitality Required Experience: • Knowledge of both classic and current food and beverage trends, • Minimum 1-2 years of experience in an upscale restaurant setting, • Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills, • Must be a team player with a strong work ethic, • Ability to lift, move, carry 30 – 40 lb boxes / bins / trays Working Conditions/Environment • The person having this position may have to stand and/or walk, push, kneel, bend, balance, squat, reach and stretch for eight (8) hours per day., • Agility in executing fast-paced movements to navigate different areas of the property efficiently., • The person having this responsibility may have to move, pull, carry, or lift objects weighing at least 50 pounds., • The work environment characteristics described herein are representative of those an Employee typically encounters while performing the essential functions of the position.
