Job Description Dental Assistant Job Description Position Title: Dental Assistant Location: Arlington, TX (Private Practice) Employment Type: Full-Time Pay Range: $15–$18 per hour (based on experience and certifications) Schedule: 5 days per week with a 1-hour lunch break each day Job Summary We are a well-established, independent dental practice in Arlington, Texas, dedicated to providing high-quality, compassionate care in a warm and supportive environment. We are seeking a reliable, positive, and team-oriented Dental Assistant to join our close-knit team. In this role, you will play a key role in ensuring smooth, efficient patient flow, delivering excellent chairside support, and helping create comfortable, positive experiences for every patient. Primary Responsibilities • Prepare treatment rooms, instruments, and materials for a variety of dental procedures (general, restorative, cosmetic, extractions, implants, Invisalign, etc.), • Provide direct chairside assistance to the dentist during all procedures, • Take high-quality digital x-rays (FMX, bitewings, periapicals), intraoral photos, and impressions/scans as needed, • Perform sterilization, disinfection, and maintenance of instruments and equipment in compliance with OSHA and CDC guidelines, • Comfort patients, explain procedures in a clear and reassuring manner, and provide post-operative instructions, • Update patient electronic charts, document treatments accurately, and maintain organized records, • Assist with basic front-office tasks when necessary (patient check-in/out, scheduling, phone support), • Keep clinical areas clean, stocked, and ready for the next patient, • Active Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) or Certified Dental Assistant (CDA) certification in Texas (or eligibility to obtain), • Current CPR certification, • Previous dental assisting experience preferred (but we welcome motivated newer assistants with strong potential and a willingness to learn), • Friendly, calm, and professional demeanor with excellent communication and interpersonal skills, • Detail-oriented, dependable, and able to multitask in a busy yet rewarding setting, • Team-player attitude with a genuine passion for helping patients achieve healthy, confident smiles, • Competitive hourly pay of $15–$18 based on experience, • Balanced 5-day workweek with a full 1-hour lunch each day, • Supportive, family-like team that values collaboration, respect, and positivity, • Loyal patient community with a desirable payer mix (fee-for-service and PPO insurance – no HMO or Medicaid), • Modern office equipped with digital x-rays, intraoral cameras, and up-to-date technology, • Opportunity to grow your skills in a practice that prioritizes quality care and team well-being
