Job DescriptionDescription: • Collection of refuse from waste receptacles located in designated areas., • Debris clean up on airfield ramps, airfield service roads, fence lines and airfield movement area., • Weed abatement on all airfield safety areas, taxiways, parking lots and adjoining airport properties., • Maintains and repairs runways and taxiways and other paved areas by cleaning surfaces, laying and raking asphalt and striping and marking pavement as needed to comply with FAA Part 139; paints roadway pavement markings utilizing walking and riding painting machines., • Operates and adjusts a variety of hand and power tools and equipment common to the maintenance area to which assigned., • Painting of Airport Operations area; paints roadway pavement markings utilizing walking and riding painting machines., • Operates spray gun and other mechanical painting equipment., • Answer maintenance service calls as needed and perform basic facilities repairs., • At the direction of senior Utility Workers, Technicians or Supervisors provided general assistance and physical labor as directed., • Take all reasonable and necessary precautions to ensure personal health and safety, as well as that of co-workers and any other person(s)., • Report immediately to management, all unsafe and unhealthy conditions., • Report immediately to management, all occurrences that cause injury or damage to any person or property., • Must possess a valid California driver’s license, Class C, and an acceptable driving record., • Ability to operate a motor vehicle in and around aircraft and ground support equipment., • Erect ladders and insure the safety of those working around or on such equipment., • Read and comprehend job diagrams, sketches or written instructions., • Work with basic hand and power tools characteristic of the trade., • Learn and perform basic facilities maintenance repairs. Physical Effort: Must be able to perform physical activities, such as, but not limited to, lifting heavy items (up to 50 lbs. unassisted), bending, standing, climbing or walking. Must be able to work safely in an environment containing caustic chemicals, cleaning materials, dust and noise. Routinely required to work under inclement weather conditions. Walking for extended periods of time is required throughout the course of daily activities. Mental Effort: Operations are dynamic and situations may require immediate attention. This position has high exposure to the public and requires a professional approach and demeanour under all conditions. It also requires a genuine willingness to assist persons with a wide range of requests and needs, including individuals with disabilities. Position Overview: The Field Technician III is an entry-level field service role supporting the installation, removal, and rehabilitation of pump systems. Working under the direction of experienced Foremen and Project Managers, you’ll learn industry-standard processes and safety practices while gaining hands-on experience in both field and shop settings. This position offers excellent opportunities for growth into higher technician and foreman levels. What You'll Do: • Assist with pump and well installation, removal, and rehabilitation under supervision., • Support shop and yard operations, including cleaning, organizing, staging, and preparing tools and equipment for field work., • Participate in site setup and teardown, ensuring safe and efficient operations., • Help load, unload, and transport tools, rigging, and equipment to and from job sites., • Operate and maintain hand tools, power tools, and field equipment safely., • Follow all safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized work environment., • Assist with work order documentation and equipment tracking., • Communicate effectively with Foremen, Project Managers, and team members., • Participate in on-the-job training and company-sponsored technical courses.
