Job DescriptionJob Title: General Production Worker Job Description The General Production Worker in the Weeding department will be responsible for ensuring pressed letters, numbers, and nameplates are freed from the outer layer of scrap. This entry-level position involves inspection and packing, and requires flexibility to work in other areas as core competencies are developed. Assignments will vary depending on business needs. Responsibilities • Conduct quality inspection of garments and graphic transfers., • Press componentry in garments for decoration., • Count and pack garments and transfers., • Follow job operating procedures and guidelines., • Accurately fill out hourly production record keeping and quality records., • Use tools including craft picker hand tool, scales, rulers, and t-shirt ruler guide., • Perform manual activities including movement and storage of product, material, and pallets., • Operate pallet jack and hand truck safely., • Learn and operate application machines and printing equipment., • Be cross-trained in different areas of production., • Assist and support in other job functions as needed., • Follow all safety guidelines, requirements, and PPE at all times., • Perform general housekeeping and maintain a clean production area., • Adhere to company cell phone and attendance policies.Essential Skills, • Production skills, • General labor experience, • General production knowledge, • Inspection abilitiesAdditional Skills & Qualifications, • Previous manufacturing experience, • Ability to lift up to 25lbs, • Manufacturing quality experience is a plus, • Previous experience in garment production is a plusWhy Work Here? Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Liverpool, New York. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $19.00/hr.
