Overview The Field Safety Specialist (Construction) is responsible for executing safety programs across active jobsites while reinforcing a culture of safety, compliance, and disciplined execution. This role serves as a critical field-level partner to Operations, Project Management, and field leadership, ensuring that work is planned and performed safely, compliantly, and predictably. This position requires a strong field presence and a proactive approach to hazard identification, coaching, and incident prevention, particularly in high-risk crane, rigging, and steel erection environments. Primary Focus Areas Field Safety Execution | Jobsite Inspections and Audits | Hazard Identification and Mitigation | Regulatory Compliance | Incident Prevention | Safety Coaching and Training | Pre-Task Planning Support Key Responsibilities Field Safety Execution • Enforce company safety policies, procedures, and expectations across assigned jobsites, • Maintain a consistent and visible field presence during active operations, • Conduct routine and project-specific safety inspections, audits, and hazard assessments, • Verify compliance with OSHA, DOT, and applicable construction safety regulations, • Proactively identify risks associated with crane, rigging, and steel erection activities, • Partner with field leadership to implement control measures and eliminate hazards, • Participate in pre-job planning meetings and job hazard analyses, • Review lift plans and complex work activities from a safety perspective, • Assist with incident, accident, and near-miss investigations, • Document findings, identify root causes, and support corrective action plans, • Conduct toolbox talks, safety meetings, and jobsite briefings, • Provide real-time coaching to reinforce safe work practices, • Consistent execution and enforcement of safety programs across all assigned jobsites, • Timely identification and mitigation of hazards before escalation, • Accurate inspections, documentation, and reporting, • Strong collaboration with Operations and Safety leadership, • Reduction in preventable incidents through proactive field engagement, • Professional field presence aligned with company valuesRequirements:, • OSHA 30 required; OSHA 510 preferred., • Current First Aid and CPR certification required., • Working knowledge of OSHA, DOT, and construction safety regulations., • 3+ years of construction safety experience preferred., • Experience supporting crane, rigging, or steel erection operations strongly preferred., • Strong communication skills with field crews and leadership., • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and safety management systems preferred.
