Job DescriptionSalary: $68,640-$82,368 Seeking an experienced Project Coordinator for our MOVES Program to be responsible for coordinating, implementing, and supervising campaigns/events and work plans related to the MOVES (Promotoras Van) mobile unit program to ensure that all deliverables, including but not limited to outreach, navigation, educational, and enrollment activities meet projected goals and reporting requirements in a timely manner. Title: Program Coordinator, MOVES Reports to:Program Manager FLSA Status:Exempt Position Status:Regular, Full Time, Salaried Starting Wage Range: $68,640-$82,368 per year (The selected applicants starting wage will be determined based on the applicants educational background, relevant experience, and tenure within the organization, in alignment with internal equity considerations.) Effective Date: January 26, 2026 Primary Location: Remote from home with the ability to travel up to 50% of the time to multiple locations across Los Angeles County Required Travel:Up to 50% of the time within the county of Los Angeles Schedule:Typically Monday-Friday 8am-5pm with some evening and weekend work as. required to meet program objectives. Schedule subject to change based on project needs at supervisor discretion. Position Summary Under the direct supervision of the Program Manager, the MOVES Program Coordinator is responsible for coordinating, implementing, and supervising campaigns/events and work plans related to the MOVES (Promotoras Van) mobile unit program to ensure that all deliverables, including but not limited to outreach, navigation, educational, and enrollment activities meet projected goals and reporting requirements in a timely manner. Essential Functions, Duties, and Responsibilities Program Oversight and Implementation • Review all implementation plans to ensure that activities align with grant requirements., • Oversee the implementation of multiple events in the assigned region., • Monitor deliverables and timelines for direct reports and oversee the teams day-to-day activities to ensure that deliverables are met; and ensure adherence to deadlines and grant expectations., • Maintain up-to-date work plans and schedules for direct reports., • Ensure the events maintain accurate, up-to-date records and files for all outreach and education activities conducted, including any documentation required for eligibility and compliance., • Coordinate all outreach, presentations, workshops, and training in Spanish and English in the assigned county., • Travel within the assigned region to oversee teams and program activities as needed., • Drive the mobile unit (a large truck) to various locations, park, set up tables, and tear them down. Staff Supervision and Development • Supervise assigned staff by providing onboarding, training, and ongoing support to ensure effective job performance., • Conduct regular team meetings and bi-weekly one-on-one check-ins to support engagement, clarify expectations, review progress, and address challenges., • Support staff development in collaboration with the Program Manager, Department Director, and Human Resources by providing feedback, recognizing strengths, addressing performance concerns early, and setting clear, achievable goals., • Ensure staff deliver services professionally and in compliance with VyC policies, departmental procedures, and program requirements., • Address performance issues consistently by documenting coaching conversations and coordinating corrective actions with HR and management when necessary., • Assist with recruitment, onboarding, and hiring decisions for project staff, with the understanding that the Coordinators recommendations will be given significant consideration., • In consultation with management and HR, develop and update job descriptions for assigned positions as needed., • Collaborate with staff to ensure project data meets VyC data quality and compliance standards. Compliance and Goal-Meeting • Meet or exceed assigned productivity, outcome, and performance goals., • Ensure full compliance with all contracts, funder requirements, and VyC policies and procedures across all program activities., • Model and reinforce VyCs values, goals, and professional standards, supporting a positive and accountable team culture. Additional Duties • Provide programmatic, administrative, and cross-departmental support as needed., • Attend required meetings and represent VyC at external meetings, trainings, or events as requested by the Program Manager., • Coordinate with vendors, contractors, and consultants to support departmental objectives., • Perform other duties as assigned., • The responsibilities listed above are representative of the position and are not intended to be exhaustive. Required Competencies Education/Experience • A minimum of five (5) years of experience working with monolingual and/or bilingual Latino communities., • A minimum of five (5) years of project/program management experience., • A minimum of three (3) years of supervisory experience., • Bachelors Degree (B.S.) from an accredited four-year institution, preferably in Public Health, Sociology, Social Work, or a related field, or commensurate experience., • Ability to collaborate closely and across all VyC departments with a wide range of staff, community members, partner agencies, and funders., • Understanding of the Promotora Model or other community leadership frameworks and their role in creating health equity, nationally and internationally., • Demonstrated leadership, coaching, and mentoring skills., • Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities, with a proven track record in prioritizing tasks effectively., • Strong problem-solving skills, flexibility, and resourcefulness when navigating unexpected situations. Capable of adapting quickly to changing circumstances., • Strong communication skills with the ability to inspire positive change in others., • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment., • Able to effectively work with overlapping projects and deadlines., • Adaptable and reliable in the face of conflict, challenges, or changing priorities. Language Skills • Demonstrated verbal and written communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills., • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general reports, procedures, or regulations. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from individuals, groups, and the public., • Because of the population served, the ability to read, write, and speak fluently in English and Spanish is required. Computer Skills • Proficiency in Google Suite, Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint), Google Business Suite, or other widely used and supported Internet browsers, and Zoom or telecommunication software., • Proficient computer skills for data entry, sending and receiving email, and creating forms to be used at educational events, reports, and calendar scheduling., • Comfort using and learning new technology., • Proficiency with social media platforms like Facebook, Facebook Messenger, Instagram, and WhatsApp. Certificates, Licenses, and Registrations • Valid Drivers License required to operate the mobile unit., • Valid automobile liability insurance if driving a personal vehicle on behalf of the organization. Preferred Competencies Nice to Have • Experience with managing projects related to Disease prevention, Care Gap Closures, Enhanced Care Management (ECM and/or Community Support (CS) within the MediCal system. Physical and Mental Demands • Ability to drive a large truck (mobile unit), park, set up and tear down tables and tear down., • Frequently communicates with community members, colleagues, community partners, and other stakeholders.
