This position requires advanced technical expertise to troubleshoot complex equipment issues perform routine maintenance and collaborate with cross-functional teams. Ensures safe efficient and high-quality production operations while meeting the companys cost schedule and quality objectives. Duties/Responsibilities: Production Line Support: • Operate set up and monitor manufacturing equipment and production lines to ensure smooth and efficient operations., • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to machinery processes and materials to minimize downtime., • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance productivity reduce costs and improve product quality., • Analyze production data and trends to recommend improvements in manufacturing processes or workflows., • Perform preventive maintenance on equipment ensuring it operates at optimal capacity., • Conduct repairs on malfunctioning or broken equipment to minimize downtime and maintain production schedules., • Monitor production output to ensure that products meet quality standards and specifications., • Conduct quality inspections and tests on raw materials in-process goods and finished products., • Work closely with production supervisors engineers and quality control teams to resolve production issues and improve workflows., • Provide guidance and training to junior technicians or operators on process standards equipment handling and safety protocols., • Adhere to all safety procedures and standards including the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE)., • Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations company policies and industry standards regarding safety and environmental controls., • Maintain accurate records of production data machine performance quality checks and maintenance logs., • Generate reports on production performance identifying trends issues and areas for improvement., • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives including lean manufacturing and Six Sigma projects to optimize production efficiency and minimize waste., • Proactively identify bottlenecks or inefficiencies and collaborate with teams to implement effective solutions., • High school diploma or equivalent., • Proficient in reading and interpreting technical drawings schematics and blueprints., • Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills., • Proficient in the use of measurement tools (e.g. micrometers calipers gauges) and diagnostic tools to monitor equipment performance., • Ability to analyze and resolve complex operational issues in a fast-paced environment., • Standing or sitting: For extended periods at lab benches or workstations., • Using computers: Typing and using the computer, • Equipment: Handling and maintaining scientific instruments, • Manual dexterity: Handling small instruments and samples., • Bending and reaching: Accessing equipment or storage., • Lifting: Occasionally lifting less than 20 pounds., • Workspace: Climate control (air conditioning or heating) to ensure comfort., • Lighting: Artificial lighting and must be able to see different colors., • Noise Levels: Light, • Ergonomics: Designed to support tasks such as pipetting analyzing samples and preparing reagents often requiring precise movements., • Climate: Regulated temperature humidity and cleanliness to ensure accurate results.
