Most homeowners still believe that going solar is a costly process requiring upfront investment and other misconceptions. Essential Duties & Responsibilities: - Properly educate and dispel misconceptions and replace them with facts about solar energy being subsidized by the federal, state, and city to enable homeowners to make the switch to solar without having to pay a penny for any of the usual out-of-pocket expenses such as solar designs, roof inspection, permits or installation. - Help homeowners understand, in a clear and consultative approach, all the benefits of getting approved for solar energy now while it is currently government funded. - Solar ambassadors canvass Queens and Brooklyn, NY counties door 2 door, direct marketing. Upon successfully educating homeowners, their goal is to schedule free, no obligation solar assessments for the homeowner. What we are looking for: - Entry Level Experience: Previous sales/canvassing experience is not necessary. - Teachable, willing to learn, and actively applying methods from training. - Incentive motivated. - Professional, outgoing & friendly personality with a strong work ethic. - Willingness to walk around neighborhoods and work independently while being a part of a great team. - Maintain a positive attitude even in the face of rejection. - Ability to work Mon-Thurs + Saturdays - 2 Shifts Available: Mon-Thurs 10 am-3 pm (10am-11am is office meeting before heading out to canvas) and Saturday 9am-2pm (no meeting) 25 hours OR Mon-Thurs 2:30 pm-8 pm (3-4 pm is office meeting before going to the turf to canvas) and Saturday 9 am-2 pm (no meeting) 27 hours Qualifications: - Comfortable working outdoors - Able to stand and walk for long periods. - Comfortable working Saturdays. - 17 years old or older. - Have a cell phone with data and internet. Sunday Operations Team Member, Redeemer Presbyterian Church, Lincoln Square DEPARTMENT: Operations REPORTS TO: Operations Coordinator DATE: Immediate + training prior to start date HOURS WORKED: 5.5 to 6 hours every Sunday COMPENSATION: $25/hr POSITION SUMMARY: Must be able to lift and carry heavy objects (up to 50 lbs) up and down multiple flights of stairs and be on your feet for a good part of the shift. We are hiring a Team Member who can who can join us every Sunday, starting promptly at 7am. We provide a safe, efficient worship experience for Redeemer’s Sunday services. Sunday Operations Staff members assist the Operations Coordinator in setting up equipment, furniture and signage, completing delegated tasks, and proactively finding solutions to problems. Then Sunday Operations Staff members assist with breaking down and cleaning up after service. JOB DESCRIPTION: Setup and teardown of all equipment and assets on stage and throughout the building. This includes transporting sound and audio equipment, placement of signs, setup for our volunteers and Coffee Hour, and more. Disinfect and clean commonly used items such as tables, carts, equipment, etc. Maintain an organized and clean storage room. Monitor worship service attendance. Run errands as needed. REQUIREMENTS: ^ Be available each Sunday from 7 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. ^ Arrive on time. ^ Take direction and respond well to supervision. ^ Attend mandatory meetings and training sessions to review policies & procedures. ^ Work on Easter and during the winter holidays (around Christmas/New Year's). ^ A commitment to serve more than one year from start date. **Motivated holiday market staff wanted for this seasons holiday markets! Join our fabulous team now!** Training begins immediately. We have 3 locations: Union Square Park, Bryant park, and iconic Macy's on 34th st!!! All easily accessible by subway. We sell xmas gifts made with crystals, and essential oils, and they are all affordable and positive energy themed. We are one of the most popular booths, so being good at managing multiple customers during busy times is a must. The booths are outdoors but we have many heaters. Our customers also tip based on service with a smile! Our current team is really great. We come from all backgrounds and support each other at work and beyond. Retail sales experience is required, or a strong desire to learn. The priority at this job is making conversation with the customers, with an emphasis on cross selling and up-selling. We regularly have sales competitions with cash bonuses for the winners! Knowledge of crystals is great, but we have cheat sheets everywhere for staff and customers so you can easily learn as you go. Hours are flexible, shifts are around 4-6 hours long. Can be full or part time, open 7 days per week. The Markets start oct 25 but you will be trained at our retail shop in the east village.
