Description More About the Role: Leidos is seeking a System Administrator to support efforts for Service Management, Integration, and Transport (SMIT), virtualized data centers. SMIT is the largest IT services program for the Navy. Under SMIT, the Leidos team will deliver the core backbone of the Navy-Marine Corps Intranet, including cybersecurity services, network operations, service desk, and data transport. Ultimately, Leidos will support the Navy in unifying its shore-based networks and data management to improve capability and service while also saving significant costs by focusing efforts under one enterprise network. Responsible for operating and maintaining the virtual data center infrastructure and operating systems. This includes responding appropriately to alerts, events and incidents from triage through resolution; including escalations, where appropriate. Conducts upgrade activities to maintain operational effectiveness for services. Provides root cause analysis documentation in accordance with Government procedures. Provides physical and virtual data center support where appropriate.
