Job Description Full Job Description – Packaging Shift Lead LOCATION Missouri City, TX (Greater Houston Region) COMPANY BACKGROUND The 3D printing industry is one of the most exciting and fastest-growing industries in the world today and Polymaker is part of the momentum. Polymaker develops, produces and markets high value materials for 3D printing. Our company is growing rapidly and can be described as young, open and energetic. Polymaker has been active in the US since 2013. We have built up a network of channel partners who serve end-users from all over the United States. Our end-users are hobbyists, professionals and industrial customers who 3D print high quality parts using our filaments. From our 40,000 SF facility in Missouri City, TX, we currently manage the production and distribution of 3D printing filament for the North America region. POSITION SUMMARY The Quality Control Inspector works per control plan to ensure that in-process products and final products are tested and inspected to meet internal requirements. Testing consists of verifying physical properties of filament via handheld and benchtop measurement aids. In-process product inspection consists of generating and reviewing measurement logs. Final product inspection consists of visual verification of product characteristics per work order requirements. POSITION TYPE Full Time, Hourly The Packaging Shift Lead reports to the Plant Manager. Monitor team attendance, punctuality, and adherence to company policies, addressing any issues promptly Key Responsibilities: • Lead and supervise the packaging team during shifts to ensure smooth and efficient operations, • Monitor team attendance, punctuality, and adherence to company policies, addressing any issues promptly, • Plan, assign, and coordinate daily packing tasks to meet production targets and deadlines, • Control product waste and damage by enforcing proper handling and packaging procedures, • Train, mentor, and coach team members to improve skills, productivity, and compliance, • Ensure all packaging processes comply with safety and quality standards, • Maintain clear communication with production, quality, and management teams regarding shift progress and issues, • Conduct regular inspections of packaged products and finished pallets to ensure quality standards are met, • Maintain accurate documentation of production output, waste, and any deviations, • Promote a positive work environment and motivate the team to meet performance goals Key Expectations: • Work 12.25-hour shifts, typically from 6:45 AM to 7:00 PM, • Reliable transportation to and from the facility, • Physically capable of walking, standing, bending, lifting, and reaching throughout the shift, • Previous experience in a manufacturing environment preferred, • Strong leadership, communication, and team management skills, • Basic computer literacy for record keeping and reporting (Microsoft Office skills a plus), • Willingness to learn, teach, and support the team, • Commitment to uphold company core values and safety standards, • Experience supervising production or packaging teams, • Knowledge of packaging equipment and materials Pay Range: $18-20/HR commensurate with experience.
