Job DescriptionWorking within a team environment, perform and/or coordinate a variety of daily manual tasks related to industrial gas turbine component repairs, including but not limited to cleaning, inspection, inventory, identification, handling, cutting, shearing, spot welding, forming, disassembly, heat treatment, fixture fitting, repair welding/blending, and reassembly. DESCRIPTION: • Reading, comprehending and ability to follow verbal and written instructions such as shop job routers, work instructions, drawings, quality control instruction/procedures and schematics needed to inspect, process and repair a variety of gas turbine components., • Ability to write and document dimensions, indications, assessment of part condition, sign off completed operations and other job-related documentation., • Safely and accurately use hand tools, air/electric powered tools such as grinders, measuring tools, welding machines, tooling, fixtures, sheet metal equipment, spot welders and other tools and machinery to inspect, process, and repair a variety of gas turbine components., • In a productive manner, create quality GTAW weld repairs including blending to pass acceptance criteria. As needed use tooling and fixtures to perform assembly welding to comply with drawing and process requirements. Ability to calculate drop, other set up dimensions, and make corrections by welding/blending/forming/fitting., • Operate safely forklifts, cranes, and other material handling equipment to relocate, load, and unload materials., • Housekeeping; maintain a clean and safe OSHA compliant work environment. Perform routine maintenance/cleaning of machinery, equipment and welding stations., • Responsible for the proper packaging, identifying, and moving of all finished products to the assigned location. WORK QUALIFICATIONS: Required: • A minimum of two (2) years of experience in a manufacturing or warehouse facility, • Experience with the operation of overhead cranes and forklifts., • Possess mechanical aptitude., • Proficient in the use of hand and power tools for successful job performance., • Ability to work in a team environment and effectively communicate., • Ability to follow directions and procedures., • 2-5 years of Industrial Gas Turbine Repair experience, • 2-5 years of Welding experience operating GTAW/TIG welding machines., • Understanding of the abrasive media blast process., • Basic computer skills Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable qualified individuals with disabilities to perform essential functions. • This position is performed in a shop environment., • Frequent standing, walking, sitting, lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, reaching, handling., • Moving, carrying, lifting, objects in excess of 50 lbs., • Working extended hours and standing for extended periods of time., • Work in both cold and hot climates., • Work in or near industrial hazards.
