Green Top Farms was founded by a farmer-turned-public-school-teacher who was troubled by the lack of fresh, nutritious foods for many New York families. For the last ten years we have built a high volume food service, catering and delivery business. Throughout that time we have remained deeply involved in working to provide better food resources and education for school children, food pantries, and the broader community. What You’ll Do: - Reading order sheets, pick and packing daily deliveries based on the order sheet - Inspect orders to ensure accuracy and quality - Rotating between the hot and cold kitchen, prescribing heating time, temperature, and location for retherm of all deliveries by using your knowledge of food safety and temperature degradation that occurs during delivery - Work as a team with the pick & pack and dispatch team to ensure all orders are accurate and organized for delivery - Organizing cooler and dry storage areas by the “First in First Out” principle - Comply with all company policies, rules & regulations regarding safety, personal hygiene (GMP’s), operational methods and food safety guidelines - Ensuring quality is maintained during pick and pack (hot food, cold food) process - Strong communication skills with team Who You Are: - Must be fully vaccinated and boosted against COVID with proof of vaccination (Required) - Must have Food Handlers Certification (Preferred) - Ability to carry over 50 pounds and remain standing for long periods of time - A self-starter and problem-solver spirit with extreme attention to detail - Experience working on teams and enjoy being a team player - Interest in being part of a growing company trying to bring a fresh take on pre-packaged meals - Bilingual (Preferred) What We Offer: Green Top Farms provides benefits including medical insurance, sick leave, paid time off that increases with tenure, commuter benefits and potential for bonuses through our Green Shares employee bonus program. What You’ll Do: - Responsible for managing daily food service in a corporate office setting, including receiving deliveries, stocking pantries, plating foods. - Responsible for maintaining a food safe and sanitary environment for food service that meets safe food handling guidelines. - Performing basic food preparation tasks, which include washing, peeling, and cutting fruit and vegetables, seasoning and slicing meats, and preparing sauces and salads. - Setting up and breaking down dining and buffet areas as per the catering manager's instructions. - Ensuring all tableware and chafing dishes are properly cleaned and sanitized before each service and/or catering event. Ideal candidates should have at least 2 years of registered nurse experience, at least 2 year of home care experience with a licensed home care agency, and a passion to teach and train caregivers. Location: Flushing, NY (Office-based classroom position) Key Responsibilities: Conduct frequent HHA training sessions as per the approved DOH/DOE curriculum. Manage all training presentations and maintain an organized classroom conducive to learning. Teach students about the expectations and demands of the home care setting.
