Atrium is seeking on behalf of our client a Staff Accountant (Hybrid – Midtown, NYC) Our client is a fast‑growing architecture/engineering + tech organization. We’re looking for a Staff Accountant who loves owning the billing cycle (time & projects), AR/AP, and collections—and wants real GL exposure (recons, journal entries, month‑end close) with a clear runway to grow. You’ll join a small, collaborative finance team where your work is seen, appreciated, and moves the needle. Think: the best of both worlds—professional services discipline + startup agility. Pay $100,000 base + up to 10% bonus What You’ll Do (Day‑to‑Day with Upside) • Own end‑to‑end billing for time‑based professional services (create, review, issue), • Drive AR (cash application, aging, collections follow‑up) and manage AP (vendor setup, 3‑way review, payments), • Partner with Project Managers to review timesheets and finalize monthly billing, • Coordinate contract changes (change orders, amendments) and support project close‑outs, • Perform reconciliations (banks, subledgers), prepare JEs, and support month‑end close and reporting, • Tackle ad‑hoc analysis and jump in on process improvements that save time and reduce errors Sizzle / Upside: You’ll get meaningful GL ownership and month‑end experience (not just billing/AP/AR), with a path to take on more close responsibilities and analytics as you ramp.
