Work Environment: Hybrid (#1 of days WFH) Term: Permanent / Fulltime Bachelor’s degree required: Yes Referral Fee: AMS will pay $1,000 should the person you refer gets hired Job Description: Our client, an AMLaw 50 firm, is looking to add a Knowledge & Innovation Specialist to their team in New York City. This is a full time, direct hire role paying an annual salary of $95K to $115K plus a performance-based bonus and excellent benefits package. The role requires a bachelor’s degree and will allow for remote work one day a week. RESPONSIBILITIES: Knowledge Management: • Own and manage internal corporate and transactional databases, libraries, portals, and resource centers, ensuring accuracy, usability, alignment with practice group needs and advances in technology., • Integrate AI tools to enable smarter benchmarking, document libraries, and data-driven insights, • Create and keep up to date training programs and process guides that standardize workflows and promote continuous learning. Project Management: • Implement structured processes for database and resource center maintenance, including audits, updates, and enhancements., • Coordinate work with K&I Assistants and interns to prioritize tasks and maintain quality standards., • Collaborate across teams and functions to keep K&I initiatives on track. Innovation & AI Integration: • Promote AI integration., • Identify opportunities for automation and innovation., • Support the evaluation and implementation of AI tools and other technology solutions., • Contribute to innovation initiatives that enhance lawyer productivity and client service delivery. Additional Responsibilities:. • Complete other projects as assigned., • Create dashboards and reports to transform raw firm data into actionable insights., • Contribute to communication and change management efforts to drive awareness and engagement with new resources and technologies. REQUIREMENTS Education & Experience: • Undergraduate degree from an accredited university or college., • At least 2 years of professional experience in a knowledge management, innovation, or legal technology role., • Law firm experience, particularly in a corporate or transactional practice environment, strongly preferred., • Experience with data analytics, reporting or data architecture in a professional services context is a plus. Competencies: • Project Management Skills: Strong organizational capabilities with demonstrated ability to manage multiple concurrent initiatives, coordinate across teams, and meet deadlines., • Communication & Interpersonal Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills with ability to explain technical concepts in user-friendly terms. Strong interpersonal skills with ability to build relationships with lawyers, business professionals, and technology vendors., • Analytical & Problem-Solving Abilities: Demonstrated problem-solving skills with ability to troubleshoot issues, analyze data, and develop process improvements. Strong analytical and critical thinking skills., • Collaboration & Mentorship: Ability to guide, train, and mentor junior team members. Experience fostering collaborative team environments., • Attention to Detail: Highly developed organizational skills, sound judgment, and attention to detail in managing knowledge assets and databases., • Change Management: Experience supporting change initiatives (e.g., new tools, new processes, or policy changes), including stakeholder engagement, communications, and feedback gathering., • Self-Starter: Proactive approach with strong sense of urgency and professional dedication. Ability to work independently while seeking guidance on complex matters when appropriate., • Adaptability: Flexibility in fast-paced environments requiring responsiveness to changing priorities., • Legal Technology Proficiency: High level of comfort with technology and curiosity about legal tech and emerging tools. Interest and understanding of current technologies including AI, workflow automation, and legal-specific applications preferred. Ability to quickly learn new systems and explain their value in plain language., • Technical Proficiency: Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, including Excel. `Familiarity with data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI), collaboration technologies, and database management systems preferred.
