Job DescriptionParalegal (Liability & Excess Coverage) A confidential, international law firm is seeking an experienced Paralegal or Senior Paralegal to support a Liability & Excess Coverage practice group. This role is ideal for a paralegal who works well in a collaborative team environment and has demonstrated stability in recent roles. Position Overview • Hybrid role: 2 days per week in the office, • Billable target: 1,200 hours annually, • Location: San Francisco or Downtown Los Angeles, • Paralegals provide team-based supportKey Responsibilities, • Manage a high-volume caseload in a coverage-focused practice, • Monitor and triage email inboxes and open new matters, • Draft, update, and maintain spreadsheets tracking case status, • Assist with document review, organization, and production, • Support e-discovery and legal research, • Monitor state and federal court dockets, • Liaise with clients regarding claim status and coverage matters, • Finalize and send coverage-related correspondenceQualifications, • 5+ years of paralegal experience (Senior title considered for substantial experience), • Experience with e-discovery and legal research, • Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Excel, • Familiarity with state and federal court websites and filings, • Excellent written communication and attention to detail, • Strong organizational and time-management skills, • Ability to handle confidential information and work in a fast-paced environment, • Willingness to learn new systems and adapt to changing prioritiesCompensation (California) Paralegal • Los Angeles: $43.96 - $52.20/hour ($80,000 - $95,000 annually), • San Francisco: $49.45 - $57.69/hour ($90,000 - $105,000 annually)Senior Paralegal, • Los Angeles: $54.95 - $63.19/hour ($100,000 - $115,000 annually), • San Francisco: $60.44 - $68.68/hour ($110,000 - $125,000 annually)Compensation is determined based on experience, skills, and business needs. Hiring near the top of the range is not typical.
