Job Description We are recruiting & hiring an effective spa counter manager/cashier & owner's assistant to manage front of the house (spa counter/retail store) and assist spa manager and owner in daily operations of our well-known, locally owned and award-winning day spa located in South Arlington, TX This is a key position in our company and the person we seek is highly effective, professional, mature, reliable, excellent sales, organization, leadership skills and able to multi-task, lead, and achieve goals and objectives through self and team leadership. Great Skin is an award winning, well established and respected day spa with an extensive menu of services and well known for getting results for its clients with unsurpassed customer service and respect for its clients and staff in a happy, professional, effective and high level customer service environment where teamwork makes the dream work!. This position is responsible for fully operating our front desk/retail shop operation which a position that is of keen importance in our company. As it is the first and last person our clients interact with when they are calling or coming in for services and/or information and requires a self-motivated, reliable, goal oriented, committed professional with excellent communication skills. The position duties include but are not limited to: opening and closing the spa/store daily, answering a 3 line phone, checking clients in/out, inputting notes in computer, selling boutique and spa services and skin care, assisting with laundry, flipping rooms and prepping for clients (as needed), inventory, making outgoing calls, upkeep of front lobby, making social media posts daily, evaluating advertising campaigns and other management tasks as assigned and needed to effectively, efficiently and cost efficiently run front of the house. Position will also work with owner and spa manager in overall management of staff. Responsibilities: • Check clients in and out on computer, register, inputting information in computer, filing, inventory management, Loyalty system, • Open & closing store (so must be timely, reliable, self-motivated, accountable, sales & goal achievement oriented, ability to stay on task without the need for constant and direct supervision), • Answer all incoming calls, greet and check in clients, serve wine, water to guests, • Sell skin care, spa services at counter, • Assist estheticians/massage therapist in prepping treatment room, • Assisting in laundry (washing, folding, putting away laundry), • Provide some non licensed spa services as needed, • Post social media content daily 2xday), • Performs as assistant to owner, • Meeting personal sales and appointment booking goals through calling past clients, • Upkeep of spa through self and assigning duties & responsibilities, • Manage overall store/spa operations (along with owner & mgr) and team of spa service technicians (estheticians), • Manage daily schedule for shift personnel to ensure optimal efficiency & manage and build appointments, sales & market share to ensure sales goal achievement, • Assisting in overseeing the spa to ensure cleanliness, efficiency, meeting sales goals,, • Manage customer concerns, • Meet sales goals through self sales goal and goals of staff Preference given to applicants with spa, mgmt or retail sales and management experience. • Previous experience in retail, spa services, beauty, skin care, customer service, or other related fields, • Must have basic math, computer and social media skills, • Must be able to think on feet and have excellent time management skills, • Must be a strong learner and ability to grasp information, • Must have money handling and basic ability to balance numbers, • Ability to thrive in any paced environment (when busy or when the need to produce more business arises), • Must have strong sales skills; Excellent customer service skills, friendly, professional, goal oriented, strong ability to manage time, tasks, get results and work in a team environment, • Must be responsible, reliable with reliable transportation, • Must be mature, professional. & min 21 years of Age (as we sere wine), • Excellent written and communication skills, • Strong leadership qualities & ability and desire to motivate others with a high level of integrity, professionalism, fairness and always goal oriented, • Computer skills to include typing, inputting information into computer, excellent phone, sales, organizational, multi tasking skills, listening, meeting assigned goals and managing others to meet assign goals, • 38-44 hours per week/assigned & permanent shift, which includes Saturdays (closed on Sundays) work 4 business days per week & every Saturday. 8:40-5:30 pm (off 1 Business day and Sunday) set schedule. Time and 1/2 paid on hours worked over 40 hours in weekly pay period. Must be available to work noted shift and fill in on needed off day (when needed) or if desired, can work a 6 day work week and earn overtime is an opportunity as well., • Ability and willingness to stand 8-9 hours per day and able to lift 20 lbs - It is a front counter management position, • Excellent leadership, customer service, sales, people skills Monday-Friday 9:00 am. -5:00 pm Saturday 9am - 5pm Closed Sundays Work starting time: 840a.m. - closing time : average 30 minutes after store closing (varies) - Expect 6:30 pm ending time on Thursdays and 6:15-6:30 on Saturdays.
