Job DescriptionJob Title: Manual MachinistJob Description We are seeking a highly skilled Manual Machinist to perform hands-on machining operations and support maintenance, troubleshooting, assessment, and repair work on valves, including Block Valves, PSV/SRV, and pneumatic and electric actuators. This role involves machining individual components of valves, pumps, and other industrial equipment using various manual machines, as well as performing maintenance, testing, and repair tasks. Responsibilities • Perform machining and support operations on components of valves, pumps, and industrial equipment using manual machines., • Conduct hands-on shop work, maintenance, testing (pre/post), and repair of valves and actuators., • Inspect, report, clean, and reassemble valves and actuators in the workshop., • Machine materials and parts using various machining equipment., • Read and interpret schematics for assembly, repair, and reassembly as required., • Conduct failure assessments and make recommendations to the on-site supervisor., • Perform routine safety observations and inspections.Essential Skills, • 7+ years of experience in Manual Machining., • Proficiency in operating Mill, Lathe, and VTL., • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematics., • Experience with Drill Press and horizontal boring., • Capability to work within a plus or minus 1 inch tolerance.Additional Skills & Qualifications, • Experience with manual lathe, vertical and horizontal mills, cut-off saws, and drill press is required. It's acceptable if candidates lack experience with 1-2 of the machines., • Specific experience working with valves or in the oil/gas industry is a plus., • Prototrak lathe experience is a plus.
