Job Description Job Title: Facilities Maintenance Mechanic To expedite this application please click on this link - Job Description This role involves maintaining a very large multi-building facility that operates on three shifts, running 24/6, which includes both production and warehouse buildings. You will play a key role in ensuring the functionality and efficiency of the facility's infrastructure. Responsibilities • Perform routine inspections of warehouses, offices, and building systems, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and lighting., • Conduct preventative maintenance and repair work on facility infrastructure, fixtures, and equipment., • Diagnose and resolve issues with heating, cooling, ventilation, plumbing, and electrical systems., • Maintain exterior areas, including parking lots, walkways, landscaping, and loading docks., • Repair or replace broken sprinklers, pipes, and other irrigation components as needed., • Oversee and coordinate external contractors and vendors performing specialized maintenance or repair work., • Maintain accurate maintenance records, service logs, and an organized inventory of tools, parts, and supplies., • Ensure compliance with all applicable safety standards, building codes, and company policies., • Respond promptly to urgent maintenance requests or equipment breakdowns to support continuous operations., • Minimum 3+ years of facilities or building maintenance experience, ideally in an industrial or warehouse setting., • Hands-on experience with HVAC, electrical, plumbing, lighting, and general repairs., • Ability to troubleshoot building systems and read basic blueprints or schematics., • Must be able to work weekends or overtime as needed., • Capable of performing physically demanding tasks, including lifting up to 50 lbs, bending, standing for long periods, and climbing., • High school diploma or equivalent; technical or trade school training is a plus., • Strong troubleshooting, diagnostic, and problem-solving skills., • HVAC certification, electrical license, or equivalent trade certification preferred., • OSHA safety training or related credential is a plus., • Forklift certification or experience is a plus. Work Environment The work environment is a food manufacturing facility with exposure to moving machinery, noise, and a wide range of temperatures. Employees may encounter humidity, moisture, and liquids while working on production machines. Exposure to strong odors and fumes from hot peppers and other ingredients is likely. The role requires working in a high-demand, fast-paced production environment with strict hygiene and safety protocols. Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, and on-call shifts based on production demands may be required. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of American Canyon, California. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $45.00 - $50.00/hr.
