You know how to keep a show moving, earn a client's confidence, and bring a team together. Now you want to build the skills to plan and manage an event from its first conversation to its final follow-up. As our Assistant Production Manager, you'll support our established PM team and take meaningful ownership of advancing and event execution while learning how PBP develops technical plans, scopes, and quotes. This role calls for someone who already brings sound judgment and experience leading live work. WHO WE ARE Park Boulevard Productions brings creativity, technical expertise, and care to live events, broadcasts, and audiovisual system design and integration. Our work includes corporate events, panels, galas, and programs for cultural and educational institutions. We build lasting client relationships by understanding what people want to accomplish and finding thoughtful, practical ways to make it happen. From our new Long Island City home, we're growing the connections between event production, systems design, and creative services. What we learn on a show informs what we design, and knowing a client's space helps us produce better events. You'll help carry that understanding from one project to the next. WHAT YOU WILL DO Working with our PMs, Operations, and technical team, you'll help keep multiple productions moving and give the department more capacity to own PBP's event work. You'll be a capable client contact and team leader, with an assigned PM supporting each project. • Participate in client conversations and site visits; capture goals, confirm details, and keep decisions and open questions organized., • Own assigned parts of the advance: schedules, crew communications, venue coordination, equipment and vendor confirmations, and production documents., • Keep clients informed, resolve routine production questions, and bring options to the PM when a decision affects scope, budget, or the technical approach., • Coordinate onsite teams and serve as the client contact on assigned events. After a clear handoff, take over from a PM on shows or portions of shows within your experience and agreed authority., • Track changes, costs, and outstanding items. Help with client follow-up, reconciliation, and debriefs so each event is properly closed out., • Build scopes, quotes, and event plans with PM guidance and review, taking greater ownership as your knowledge and experience develop. WHAT YOU BRING • Hands-on experience coordinating live events or productions, with real responsibility for clients or stakeholders, teams, schedules, and changing priorities., • The confidence to lead an onsite team, handle a client concern, and keep the overall event goal in view while technical specialists focus on their work., • Strong organization and follow-through across several projects, including accurate documents, clear delegation, and timely communication., • Enough familiarity with production and AV workflows to coordinate specialists, spot missing information, and understand when a decision needs their input., • Practical judgment about what you can resolve, what needs approval, and when to ask for help, along with curiosity and openness to feedback. Stage managers, production managers, event coordinators, and project managers with event experience are welcome. Corporate events, broadcast, vendor coordination, budget tracking, and production software experience are helpful. You'll learn PBP's offerings through collaboration, guided project work, and feedback. Initially, the lead PM retains overall responsibility for the scope, technical plan, and budget. As you demonstrate readiness, you can own more of the lifecycle and work toward a PM role. We'll discuss your interests and development as you grow; progression will reflect your demonstrated capability and the company's needs. COMPENSATION, BENEFITS, AND WORKING ARRANGEMENTS We offer an annual base salary of $68,000–$76,000, based on relevant experience, along with health insurance benefits, an employer-matching 401(k) retirement plan, flexible and generous paid time off, and training and continuing education opportunities. This full-time role combines work from our Long Island City office with site visits, client meetings, and events across New York City. Some planning and administrative work can be done remotely, coordinated with the team and project needs. Event schedules include early starts, evenings, weekends, and occasional days of 12 hours or more; spring and fall are typically busiest.
