The ideal candidate must have experience in DSA projects - K-12, community college, and/or state-owned projects. We are looking to fill the position in either our Los Angeles or San Diego office. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: • Exhibits basic understanding of state building, local city, and zoning codes., • Participates in conceptual design and provides full support throughout the entire project., • Serves as subject-matter expert on specialized building systems., • Develops and represents lead technical viewpoint on projects., • Coordinates with project team leaders for appropriate technical solutions and product strategies., • Can be relied upon to present directly to the client on technical and design solutions., • Coordinates with project director to directly supervise the teams’ design and technical delivery., • Adept at BIM and other software used in the production of construction documentation. EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS • A bachelor’s and/or master’s degree in architecture or equivalent is required., • A current architecture license is required., • Must have ten (10) or more years of experience or equivalent in an architectural office., • Additional industry certifications preferred (i.e., LEED, DBIA, CDT, etc.)., • Must have a “can-do” attitude, be a team player, and exhibit excellent communication skills with clients and staff., • Must be a fast learner and highly motivated., • Able to meet tight deadlines., • Must be familiar with architectural phases., • Familiar with building materials, code, and construction methods, and brands., • Must exhibit strong Revit modeling skills.
