Key Responsibilities • Room patients and obtain vital signs (BP, HR, RR, SpO2, height, weight, BMI), • Prepare patients for cardiology visits and procedures, • Perform 12-lead EKGs, including proper lead placement and EMR upload, • Assist with ambulatory cardiac monitoring workflows (e.g., Holter or patch monitors), • Collect and document patient-reported medication histories for provider review, • Accurately document patient encounters in the EMR as a medical scribe, • Prepare charts, retrieve prior records, and organize documentation for provider review, • Draft non-clinical correspondence, forms, or summaries for provider review and signature, • Track follow-up items, pending results, or provider-directed tasks in the EMR, • Maintain exam rooms, equipment cleanliness, and infection control standards Required Qualifications • High school diploma or equivalent, • Completion of a Medical Assistant training program or equivalent experience, • Demonstrated competency performing EKGs, • Proficiency with EMR systems, • Medical Assistant certification (CMA, RMA, or equivalent), • Prior cardiology clinic or specialty practice experience, • Prior medical scribe experience, • Working knowledge of medical terminology, particularly cardiology-related terminology, • Ability to stand, walk, and move throughout the clinic, • Ability to sit for extended periods for documentation, • Ability to lift up to 25 lbs independently and 50 lbs with assistance, • Ability to assist patients with positioning and mobility using proper body mechanics
