Position Rocky Mountain Laboratories is seeking a reliable 1099 contractor for emergency coverage as part of our courier team in Las Vegas. This role is essential for ensuring the timely and secure transport of medical-related materials to and from internal and external customers. Shifts are likely to occur as needed, typically from 3:30 p.m. to midnight, providing critical support to our laboratory and client operations. Description Emergency coverage courier position. 1099 contracted role. Schedule: As needed, typically 3:30 p.m. – midnight. Ideal for individuals with availability after 3:30 p.m., especially those already working flexible or gig-based schedules who can accommodate short-notice assignments. Responsibilities: • Ensure timely and accurate delivery of medical specimens to designated destinations, adhering to emergency coverage needs, • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the company vehicle, including regular inspections and reporting any maintenance issues, • Adhere to all relevant safety regulations and guidelines while operating the vehicle and handling medical specimens, • Communicate effectively with dispatch, clients, and other team members to coordinate pickups, deliveries, and special instructions, • Handle specimens with care and attention to detail, ensuring proper labeling, packaging, and storage during transport, • Provide exceptional customer service by addressing any concerns or inquiries from clients or recipients during pickups and deliveries, • Assist with loading and unloading specimens, equipment, and supplies as needed, following proper lifting and handling procedures, • Maintain accurate records and documentation of all pickups, deliveries, and related activities using company-provided software or paperwork, • Collaborate with colleagues to troubleshoot issues or challenges encountered during daily operations, • Valid driver’s license with clean driving record, • Personal liability auto insurance (no additional coverage required for company vehicle use during shift), • Active smartphone (Android or iPhone) with adequate data plan, • Flexibility to work on short notice for emergency coverage, • Minimum of 2 years of driving experience in prior roles, • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions, • Ability to operate a vehicle for long periods and handle various driving conditions (night driving, weather) Preferred Qualifications: • Previous medical courier experience Salary: $22/hour Benefits for 1099 Contractors: This is a 1099 contracted role and does not include Rocky Mountain Laboratories employee benefits. Position Summary The Armed Armored Car Guard & Driver is responsible for the secure transport of valuable cargo between facilities and client locations. The position requires alertness, firearms certification, operational discipline, and adherence to Nevada Private Investigators Licensing Board (PILB) and DOT regulations. Key Responsibilities * Operate armored vehicles safely and securely in compliance with route schedules. * Load and unload valuable cargo while maintaining full control and situational awareness. * Conduct vehicle inspections before and after each shift to ensure safety and functionality. * Maintain chain-of-custody documentation and prepare accurate manifests and logs. * Communicate clearly with dispatch, security control, and clients using secure channels. * Remain alert and ready to respond to potential threats or emergency situations per training. * Ensure compliance with company policies and all local, state, and federal regulations. * Present a professional demeanor while interacting with clients and the public. Minimum Qualifications * High school diploma or GED. * Valid Nevada Driver’s License with a clean driving record (minimum 3 years required). * Valid Nevada PILB Armed Guard Card (Required). * Completion of firearms qualification and requalification courses as required by Nevada law. * Must hold or be able to obtain a DOT Medical Examiner’s Certificate. * Completion pre-hire background check, drug screening, and firearms proficiency exam. * Ability to lift up to 70 lbs. and move heavy cargo with appropriate equipment. * Excellent judgment, attention to detail, and ability to perform under pressure. * Willingness to work flexible shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays. Preferred Qualifications * Prior experience in armored transport, law enforcement, military, or private armed security. * Familiarity with Las Vegas-area routes and secure logistics operations. * Experience operating radio communications and tracking systems. Job Description POSITION SUMMARY - This is an on site position in Las Vegas, NV A Sr Phlebotomist serves patients by identifying the best method for retrieving blood; preparing specimens for laboratory testing; and performing screening procedures. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES * Verifies test requisitions by comparing information with nursing station log; bringing discrepancies to the attention of unit personnel. * Verifies patient by reading patient identification. * Obtains blood specimens by performing venipunctures and finger sticks. * Maintains specimen integrity by using aseptic technique, following department procedures; observing isolation procedures. * Tracks collected specimens by initialing, dating, and noting times of collection; maintaining daily tallies of collections performed. * Maintains quality results by following department procedures and testing schedule; recording results in the quality-control log; identifying and reporting needed changes. * Maintains safe, secure, and healthy work environment by following standards and procedures; complying with legal regulations. * Resolves unusual test orders by contacting the physician, pathologist, nursing station, or reference laboratory; referring unresolved orders back to the originator for further clarification; notifying supervisor of unresolved orders. * Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organizations. * Enhances phlebotomy department and hospital reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments. * This role works with PHI on a regular basis both in paper and electronic form and have an access to various technologies to access PHI (paper and electronic) in order to perform the job * Employee must complete training relating to HIPAA/PHI privacy, General Policies and Procedure Compliance training and security training as soon as possible but not later than the first 30 days of hire. * Must maintain a current status on Natera training requirements * Logistical management/printing of patient reports for that area * Billing question answering/triaging and follow-up with patients * Scheduling pick ups from courier services - FedEx or Medspeed. QUALIFICATIONS * Minimum of 5 years of phlebotomy experience * BS/BA degree (preferred) * High School Diploma (or equivalent) required * Phlebotomy Certificate (if required by State) KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES * Ability to serve and protect the hospital community by adhering to professional standards, hospital policies and procedures, federal, state, and local requirements, and JCAHO standards.
