Job Description Certified Medical Assistant Job Description We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Medical Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting dermatologists with patient care and administrative tasks. You will ensure the smooth operation of clinical activities, providing exceptional service to patients. Responsibilities • Room patients and document all vital information accurately., • Scribe information for the dermatologist during consultations., • Provide post-operative wound care instructions to patients., • Draw blood for laboratory tests and procedures., • Clean and stock exam rooms to maintain a sterile environment., • Schedule patient appointments efficiently., • Proficient in medical assisting and healthcare procedures., • Experienced in scheduling appointments and rooming patients., • Skilled in drawing blood and checking vital signs., • Competent in medical scribing and patient intake., • Strong understanding of medical terminology., • Must hold an active Certified Medical Assistant license., • 2-3 years of experience as a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Medical Assistant (MA). The position is full-time, Monday through Thursday from 7:30 AM to 4:30 PM and Friday from 7:30 AM to 12:00 PM. The role requires occasional travel to the Marion location as needed, with providers rotating between sites. Travel time will be compensated at the hourly rate, although mileage is not reimbursed. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Cedar Rapids, IA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $22.00/hr.
