Senior Director of Funded Programs & Community Impact Location: Brooklyn, NY Organization: FIAO Il Centro Position Type: Full-Time Salary Range: $90,000 – $120,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications Lead Programs. Inspire Growth. Strengthen Communities. FIAO Il Centro is seeking an experienced, mission-driven leader to serve as our Senior Director of Funded Programs & Community Impact. This key leadership position is responsible for overseeing the strategic direction, management, growth, and compliance of all funded programs while ensuring exceptional service delivery and meaningful community impact. Reporting directly to the Executive Director, the Senior Director will provide organizational leadership, supervise program staff, manage budgets and operations, cultivate partnerships, and drive the continued expansion of programs that serve individuals and families throughout our community. Position Summary The Senior Director of Funded Programs & Community Impact is responsible for leading the implementation of both short-term and long-term strategic initiatives for all funded programs. The position ensures operational excellence, regulatory compliance, fiscal responsibility, staff development, and program growth while advancing the mission and vision established by the Executive Director and Board of Directors. Key Responsibilities Strategic Leadership • Develop and execute comprehensive short-term and long-term strategies for all funded programs., • Design and implement management plans, policies, procedures, and initiatives aligned with funding requirements and organizational goals., • Identify opportunities for program expansion, innovation, and increased community impact., • Serve as a strategic advisor to the Executive Director on programmatic and operational matters. Program Operations & Compliance • Oversee the daily operations of all funded programs to ensure efficient, effective, and high-quality service delivery., • Maintain the integrity of programs and office operations while ensuring compliance with all funding source requirements., • Ensure legal, regulatory, contractual, and reporting obligations are met., • Evaluate program performance and outcomes in collaboration with Program Directors and implement improvement strategies when needed. Staff Leadership & Development • Directly supervise funded program staff and management personnel., • Lead staff recruitment, hiring, onboarding, training, performance evaluations, disciplinary actions, and terminations., • Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and professional growth., • Support staff development and empower team members to assume leadership responsibilities. Financial Management • Develop, oversee, and manage funded program budgets., • Monitor program expenditures and ensure responsible fiscal stewardship., • Oversee financial and budgetary decisions related to funded programs., • Manage payroll administration for funded program personnel., • Ensure the fiscal integrity and sustainability of funded programs. Community Relations & Partnership Development • Serve as liaison to funding agencies, government officials, community organizations, local businesses, and strategic partners., • Build and maintain strong partnerships that enhance program effectiveness and sustainability., • Represent FIAO Il Centro at community meetings, public events, and stakeholder gatherings., • Support fundraising, grant development, and resource development efforts to strengthen and expand services. Organizational Excellence • Promote effective communication between the Executive Director, Board of Directors, staff, volunteers, and community stakeholders., • Review and address staff and participant concerns in a professional and timely manner., • Ensure adherence to organizational policies, mission, goals, and funding source requirements., • Function as a visionary catalyst for organizational growth, innovation, and excellence. Qualifications Required Qualifications • Minimum of fifteen (15) years of experience in a nonprofit organization in a supervisory or managerial capacity with an Associate Degree; OR, • Bachelor's Degree and at least ten (10) years of nonprofit leadership experience; OR, • Master's Degree and at least five (5) years of nonprofit leadership experience., • Demonstrated knowledge of nonprofit financial management, budgeting, compliance, and fiscal reporting., • Experience managing grant-funded or government-funded programs., • Proven success leading multidisciplinary teams and managing staff performance., • Excellent leadership, communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills., • Strong ability to develop partnerships and effectively engage community stakeholders., • Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining attention to detail and accountability. Preferred Qualifications • Experience working within community-based organizations, human services, education, workforce development, or social service programs., • Fundraising and grant management experience., • Bilingual proficiency is a plus.
