Volt Job Fair - Thursday, April 16th Time: 9am to 11am & 4pm to 7pm Location: 12455 Research Blvd. Austin, TX 78727 Onsite Interviews will be conducted - Job Offers on the spot. Volt is immediately hiring for Assemblers, Machine Operations, Material Handlers, Engineering Techs and Quality Control for all 3 Shifts in Austin, TX. As a Assembler, you will: • Assembly: Read work orders, wiring diagrams, sample assemblies and follow instructions to route, wire, and assemble electronic components, subassemblies, and casings from telecommunications to aerospace., • Component preparation: Solder masking, taping non-solderable areas, installing e-prom into sockets, and placing Rev levels onto boards, switches or connectors., • Tools: Utilize hand and semi-automatic tools to apply protective coatings, join or secure parts in place. Such as, Crimps, stakes, screws, bolts, rivets, welds, solders, cements, press fits., • Testing and inspection: Perform functional, continuity, and dimensional tests on assemblies to ensure they meet specifications. Light physical tasks such as changing conveyors width., • Repairs and rework: Identify defective parts and rework or perform basic touch-ups according to blueprints, diagrams, and work orders., • Documentation: Fill out returned forms of conforming and nonconforming materials and prepare setup kits for the incoming shift. Collect data using SPC charts., • Review production schedules, process procedures and specifications regarding the sequential start-up, operation and control of automated equipment and peripheral hardware., • Perform automated equipment set-up functions which include the loading of electronic components, raw cards, feeders, fixtures, stencils, chemicals, etc., • Perform sequential start-up for the automated equipment and all peripheral hardware., • Perform Electronic Assembly: color code, component, schematics, PCB loading, PCB touch-up, mechanical assembly, surface mount assembly., • Perform Inspection: PCB loaded, components, measuring tools; Machine Operations: automatic component insertion equipment, surface mount insertion equipment, wave soldering;, • Use Mechanical & Electrical Tools for Measuring., • Utilize Office Skills for data entry and software., • Monitor the operation of the automated equipment and peripheral hardware. Initiates adjustments to ensure that the automated equipment and peripheral hardware operate within the established control limits., • Monitor the shelf-life usage of perishable chemicals, moisture sensitive parts and raw card assemblies., • Inspect quality levels of production on the automated equipment and peripheral hardware., • Adjust equipment or hardware when workmanship drops below quality specifications., • Initiate rework/repair activities on product that is substandard to the specifications., • Record data required for statistical process control or inventory management., • Perform preventive maintenance on the automated equipment and peripheral hardware at specified intervals and schedules., • Perform sequential shutdown, including the cleaning of the automated equipment or peripheral hardware., • Use and must have experience with the Swing Reach Forklift. (Harness / Goes as high up as 33ft to 50 ft high), • Must have current and up to date Driver's License Required., • Responsible for performing the physical or combined administrative/physical tasks involved in the storing, counting and distributing of materials, parts, supplies and equipment., • Compile and maintain records of quantity, cost and type of material stocked and issued, and prepares material requisitions., • Create, update, execute and analyze reports through MRP System / ORACLE., • Follows all distribution related ISO procedures, and Material Handling Guidelines., • Works from requisition, order list or stock list to pull required items., • Use a checklist as items are pulled to ensure kit accuracy., • Accumulates orders, reports shortages and transports completed orders to distribution point or staging area., • Processes returned items and unscheduled issues., • Compiles and maintains inventory of material received, stocked, and issued., • Prepares requests for procurement of material., • Lifts heavy items and may operate a pallet jack or forklift., • Examines, stocks and distributes materials in inventory and on manufacturing lines., • Take inventory of stored items through cycle counting., • Perform a variety of duties in the Set-up and Operation of equipment., • Reviews production schedules, process procedures and specifications regarding the sequential start-up, operation and control of automated equipment and peripheral hardware., • Performs automated equipment set-up functions which include the loading of electronic components, raw cards, feeders, fixtures, stencils, chemicals, etc., • Performs sequential start-up for the automated equipment and all peripheral hardware., • Monitors the operation of the automated equipment and peripheral hardware. Initiates adjustments to ensure that the automated equipment and peripheral hardware operate within the established control limits., • Monitors the shelf-life usage of perishable chemicals, moisture sensitive parts and raw card assemblies., • Records data required for statistical process control or inventory management., • Perform complex engineering tests, checkouts, and development engineering tasks., • Diagnose and isolates malfunctions to the component level., • Analyze engineering test results and implement changes to resolve problems., • Conduct operations tests and fault isolation on development systems and equipment to ensure conformance with design specifications, collect data, analyze results and implement procedures., • Review project instructions and blueprints to ascertain test specifications, procedures, objectives, test equipment, nature of technical problems and possible solutions such as part redesign, substitution of material or parts or rearrangement of parts or subassemblies., • Devises, fabricates and assembles new or modified mechanical components or assemblies for products such as industrial equipment and machinery, power equipment, server systems, machine tools and measuring instruments., • Sets up and conducts tests of complete units and components under operational conditions to investigate design, or to obtain data for development, standardization, quality control and problem resolution, • Analyzes indicated and calculated test results in relation to design or rated specifications and test objectives and modifies or adjusts equipment to meet specifications., • Records test procedures and results, numerical and graphical data, and recommendations for changes in product or test method., • Maintains software, documentation and equipment for the latest revision or operational specifications. 1st Shift: 7:00am - 3:30pm (Monday – Friday) 2nd shift: 3:30pm - 12:00am (Monday – Friday) 3rd Shift: 11:00pm - 7:30am (Sunday-Thursday) The ideal candidate will have: • Prior Experience on the Position preferred., • Ability to Read, Speak, Write and Communicate in ENGLISH., • Ability to Stand during the entire shift, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch and reach to perform tasks, • Ability to lift 10 - 35 pounds depending on position to complete tasks., • Ability to read and comprehend instructions to complete tasks, • Strong manual dexterity and hand/eye coordination: Close vision, color vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus., • Knowledge of Electronic Components preferred, • 1st Shift: $17.00 - $20.50 - Depending on Position, • 2nd Shift: $18.70 - $22.55 - Depending on Position Qualified candidates should APPLY NOW for immediate consideration!
