Job Description & Requirements • Specialty: Surgical Technologist, • Discipline: Allied Health Professional, • Start Date: 12/07/2025, • Duration: 13 weeks, • 40 hours per week, • Shift: 10 hours, days, • Employment Type: Travel Title: Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) – Operating Room Location: Rochester, NY Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Shift, 4x10-Hour (11:00 – 21:30) Job Responsibilities: • Prepare and maintain a sterile surgical environment, ensuring aseptic technique is upheld at all times., • Assist surgeons and the perioperative team during a variety of surgical procedures including general, gynecologic, orthopedic, neurosurgical, vascular, ENT, urologic, thoracic, and robotic cases., • Handle surgical instruments, supplies, and equipment efficiently and safely during operations., • Anticipate the needs of the surgical team and ensure the availability of required instruments and materials., • Participate in surgical counts, time-outs, and patient safety protocols according to universal standards., • Support operating room readiness by assembling, organizing, and sterilizing instruments and equipment., • Maintain accurate records of procedures and supplies used., • Participate in on-call rotations and weekend/holiday coverage as scheduled.Required Skills & Experience:, • Minimum 3 years of operating room experience as a Certified Surgical Technologist., • Previous charge experience required., • Epic charting system experience (required)., • Demonstrated competency in multiple surgical specialties, including:, • Vascular: Abdominal Aortic Aneurysm repair, Carotid Endarterectomy, Femoral-Popliteal bypass graft, Endovascular Aneurysm Repair, • General Surgery: Appendectomy, Cholecystectomy, Colon resection, Hernia repairs, Thyroidectomy, • Gynecology: Laparoscopic procedures, Dilation & Curettage, Hysterectomy, Bilateral tubal ligation, • Orthopedics: Total hip/knee replacements, Spinal fusions, Carpal tunnel release, • Neurosurgery: Craniotomy, Laminectomy/discectomy, Cervical and lumbar fusions, • ENT: Tonsillectomy/adenoidectomy, Tracheostomy, Radical neck dissection, • Urology: Cystoscopy, Nephrectomy, Prostatectomy, Ureteroscopy, • Robotics: Da Vinci Xi surgical system experience preferred, • Travel experience required; first-time travelers not accepted., • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced surgical environment handling 40–60 cases daily., • Strong knowledge of sterile processing and surgical instrumentation management., • Experience in a Level II trauma or teaching hospital preferred.Certifications & Licenses:, • Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) – required (NBSTSA certification).
