See how our team walks and talks the ‘Platinum Rule’; Summary of Responsibilities Our Project Manager will share our company values and have experience in carpentry, remodeling, or home building management, with a positive and flexible attitude. Reporting to the Production Manager, this role collaborates closely with vendors, clients, and team members to create a professional, high-quality experience for our clients. The Project Manager oversees multiple projects with the support of carpenters, ensuring quality workmanship is delivered on time and within budget. This includes managing subcontractors and all phases of production—from foundations to trim-out. Strong leadership, organization, and communication skills are essential to coordinate labor, materials, and trades safely and efficiently while exceeding client expectations. Essential Functions • Ability to lift up to 60 lbs and work on ladders up to 30 feet high and roofs up to 50 feet high, • Ability to use computer applications and willingness to learn new software, • Interpret, understand, and follow construction drawings to ensure successful project completion, • Manage daily operations on the job site and provide daily updates in the Buildertrend application, • Report any conflicts between plans and site conditions to the Production Manager in a timely manner, • Routinely review production schedules and keep jobs on track and on time, • Verify that correct selections are being installed or applied, • Coordinate inspections and communicate results effectively, • Follow company SOPs with consistent, timely, and accurate submission of required administrative paperwork Customer Satisfaction Responsibilities: • Conduct pre-construction conferences with clients, the salesperson, and the Production Manager, • Communicate with the client daily regarding schedule, cleanliness, changes, and any other concerns, • Ensure the job site remains hazard-free and clean at all times, • Respond promptly to client questions and concerns, • Provide all change order information to the Production Manager for pricing, • Conduct substantial completion walk-through meetings with the Production Manager to produce a punch list, • Execute punch list items prior to the final walk-through with the client, sales team, Production, and Project Managers Job Site Supervision: • Allocate planning time to review all job plans, documents, and checklists prior to starting construction, • Build according to the intent of the drawings and request clarifications or missing information as needed, • Inspect the project site to identify any existing damage or adverse conditions not covered in the contract; promptly report such findings to the Production Manager using the applicable form and document them in daily logs, • Create and maintain a project schedule designed to complete the job on budget and on time; notify the Production Manager if this cannot be accomplished, • Meet all commitments the company has made to the client as communicated in writing; notify the Production Manager if this cannot be achieved, • Complete evaluations, accident reports, and other documentation necessary for the accurate and organized operation of the company, • Complete all required reporting and paperwork for job costing, change orders, invoicing, scheduling, planning, and personnel management, • Develop and maintain a safety program to ensure the safe operation of all production personnel and equipment, including reporting safety violations of personnel and subcontractors, • Review daily job logs and labor and material reports with the team for accuracy in change orders and invoices to keep job accounting current and in line with company policy, • Ensure change orders and invoices are written in a timely manner for accuracy, profitability, and customer satisfaction, • Conduct production and safety meetings Education, Experience, and Skills Required • Minimum of 5+ years of experience in custom home building and remodeling, or a combination of relevant construction and operational management experience in a related field, • Demonstrated ability to lead projects and teams with professionalism, accountability, and clear communication, • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with strong interpersonal abilities, • Excellent attendance, punctuality, and professionalism, • Proficient with technology (M365, Google Docs, BuilderTrend), • Positive attitude and self-motivated work ethic, • Reliable transportation, valid driver’s license, and current insurance coverage Compensation • $95,000-$110,000 DOE, • 2 weeks paid vacation, • Accrued sick leave, • Medical insurance with 75% of premiums paid by employer, • Additional discounted life/disability/accident insurance available, • Company apparel, • Continuing education and development Personal characteristics needed to be successful in this role • Leadership & Communication: Inspires teams, makes informed decisions under pressure, and communicates effectively., • Detail-Oriented & Organized: Ensures accuracy in plans, schedules, and budgets while managing multiple tasks efficiently., • Problem-Solving & Adaptability: Addresses challenges with effective solutions and adjusts strategies as needed., • Team Player & Client-Focused: Builds strong relationships, collaborates across departments, and is dedicated to client satisfaction., • Integrity, Passion & Resilience: Upholds honesty, is enthusiastic about construction, and maintains a positive attitude under pressure.
