Job Description Injection/Rubber Molding Technician 2nd shift Position $18.00 per hour Monday-Thursday with Fri, Sat, Sun off Providence, RI Job Summary The Injection/Rubber Molding Technician is responsible for setting up, operating, troubleshooting, and maintaining injection and/or rubber molding machines in order to produce high-quality molded parts. The role ensures product consistency, process efficiency, safety compliance, and adherence to standards for quality and productivity. Key Responsibilities of the Injection/Rubber Molding Technician • Set up and start molding machines (plastic injection and/or rubber molds), including heating, cooling, demolding, and any auxiliary equipment., • Perform mold changes, alignments, and adjustments (inserts, cores, etc.), ensuring tooling is clean, maintained, and functioning properly., • Monitor machines during production runs to ensure process parameters are met (temperature, pressure, speed, etc.)., • Troubleshoot defects, process issues, or machine malfunctions; make adjustments to improve quality and reduce scrap., • Inspect molded parts using measurement tools (calipers, micrometers, gauges), and follow first-piece and last-piece inspection procedures., • Record process data and maintain documentation related to production runs, including shift records, setting sheets, scrap rates, and machine performance., • Work with Quality, Engineering, and Maintenance to support mold validations, tool repair/refurbishment, and continuous improvement projects., • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area; safety, and environmental policies., • Assist in preventive maintenance (cleaning molds, checking hydraulic/pneumatic systems, etc.)., • Possible training of new operators or operators on new molds/processes., • High School diploma or GED (trade school or technical certificate preferred)., • Experience in injection molding, rubber molding, or similar molding processes — typically 1-5+ years depending on seniority., • Good mechanical aptitude; ability to read and interpret technical drawings, process prints, and specifications., • Strong attention to detail and quality; ability to identify defects and make appropriate corrections., • Basic math skills (ability to compute ratios, percentages, unit conversions)., • Ability to use measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, gauges)., • Strong troubleshooting skills (process, tooling, material)., • Good communication skills; able to work as part of a team., • Experience in rubber or elastomer molding (if job requires that)., • Prior experience with scientific molding methodologies., • Familiarity with auxiliary equipment (hot runners, chillers, de-molders, robots, presses)., • Computer literacy for data entry, SPC/statistical process control, and production reporting., • Experience working under ISO or other regulated quality systems., • Work in a manufacturing plant environment (noise, heat, moving machinery)., • Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) required., • Ability to lift up to [weight, e.g. 50-100 lbs, depending on mold size]., • Frequent standing, walking, bending, twisting, reaching., • Machine uptime / availability., • Scrap and defect rates., • Mold changeover times., • First-pass yield / quality compliance., • Safety incident rate., • On-time delivery / production output versus schedule.Company DescriptionGreenKiss Staffing Solutions, Inc. brings over 30 years of industry expertise to the forefront of nationwide recruiting.
