Join a collaborative LTAC team delivering quality chronic and complex care in Omaha (68124). • Location: Omaha, NE 68124 (Omaha nursing jobs, Nebraska healthcare), • Setting: Long-Term Acute Care (LTAC) / Long Term Acute Care Hospital, • Employment Type: Travel Contract / Travel RN, • Start Date: March 16, 2026, • Contract Duration: 13 weeks, • Shift: 12-hour nights (Night Shift RN), • Hours per Week: 36 hours per week, with the possibility to work up to 48 hours per week, • Estimated Weekly Salary: $2,020 - $2,130, • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license required, • BLS certification required prior to first shift, • ACLS certification required prior to first shift, • Minimum 1 year bedside clinical experience required; 2+ years preferred, • Experience in LTAC, acute care, telemetry, or similar complex-care settings preferred, • Strong clinical assessment, documentation, and care-planning skills for long-term acute patients, • Perform comprehensive nursing assessments within 8 hours of admission to develop individualized RN care plans, • Provide direct patient care for medically complex and long-term acute patients using the nursing process, • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, patients, and families to set care goals and patient education plans, • Document assessments, interventions, and patient responses accurately and in a timely manner, • Participate in patient rehabilitation programs and discharge planning beginning on admission, • Communicate significant changes in patient status to providers and care team members to ensure continuity and safety, • Supervise and support Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs), Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs), and orientees, • Promote a safe clinical environment, adhere to infection control and safety protocols, and contribute to quality improvement, • Assume charge RN responsibilities as needed after orientation and demonstrate leadership on night shift, • Engage in ongoing professional development and continuing education to maintain clinical competency, • Competitive travel RN opportunity in a supportive LTAC environment, • Exposure to complex-care clinical experience that advances your RN practice, • Work-life balance with predictable 12-hour night shifts and consistent scheduling, • Omaha living: friendly communities, vibrant culture, and affordable cost of living GHR Healthcare Job ID #463487.
