Job Description Primary Job Title: Phlebotomist / Patient Services Representative II (PSR II) Alternate/Related Job Titles: • Certified Phlebotomist, • Patient Care Technician Onsite Flexibility: Onsite Contract Details: • Position Type: Contract, • Contract Duration: 2.5 months (estimated) Job Summary: The Phlebotomist / Patient Services Representative II (PSR II) represents the face of the organization to patients and healthcare partners. This role is responsible for performing high-quality specimen collection and ensuring accurate, efficient processing for laboratory testing. The PSR II creates a professional, welcoming environment while upholding patient trust and confidentiality. Key Responsibilities: • Perform daily specimen collection activities accurately, safely, and on schedule under supervisory direction., • Ensure all phlebotomy procedures follow established clinical and forensic collection standards., • Verify patient identification and labeling accuracy, ensuring proper post-collection documentation., • Maintain required logs, records, and documentation in compliance with quality standards., • Deliver excellent customer service and foster patient trust during all interactions., • Maintain a safe, clean, and professional work environment in accordance with safety protocols., • Demonstrate organizational commitment while promoting a positive image to patients and colleagues.Required Experience:, • Minimum 3 years of phlebotomy experience, including pediatric, geriatric, and capillary collections., • Minimum 2 years working in a Patient Service Center or healthcare environment preferred., • Experience in customer service or patient-facing roles., • Keyboard/data entry proficiency required.Required Education:, • High school diploma or equivalent required., • Medical assistant or paramedic training preferred., • Phlebotomy certification preferred (required in CA, NV, and WA).Required Skills:, • Phlebotomy and specimen collection expertise, • Strong customer focus and interpersonal communication, • Ability to handle multiple priorities in a high-volume environment, • Knowledge of patient safety and confidentiality protocolsPreferred Skills:, • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, • Familiarity with laboratory processes and patient scheduling systems, • Excellent organizational and time management abilitiesAdditional Skills:, • Flexibility for occasional travel or coverage at other locations, • Reliable transportation, valid driver’s license, and clean driving record (if required) • Medical, Vision, and Dental Insurance Plans, • 401k Retirement Fund About The Company: Leading provider of diagnostic information services empowering healthier lives.
