Essential Duties and Responsibilities: * Assist with surgical procedures in a high-volume, fast-paced environment in accordance with the Nevada Administrative Code, under the immediate supervision of a licensed veterinary technician and veterinarian. * Restrain animals for preoperative examinations and treatments. * Prepare animals for surgical procedures by shaving hair from surgical sites and performing proper surgical scrub techniques, while also monitoring animals under anesthesia. If a medical concern arises, the LVT can inform the shelter veterinarian on duty and will assist with any needed further exams/treatments/medication. * Assists in the Animal Foundation’s Low Cost Vaccine Clinic by administering vaccines, microchips and dewormer to publicly owned animals. * Administers follow up vaccines/deworming on shelter animals that have been housed at the facility for two weeks or longer. * Completes already altered animal treatments to assist with immediate adoption go homes. * Rabies vaccine administration, implantation of microchips and any needed cat testing. * Enters the entirety and accurate medical information for all exams/treatments completed into the Chameleon software program for updated animal medical histories. * Washes and dries surgical laundry, wraps surgical packs and autoclaves these packs for surgical sterility throughout the day. * Ensures that all supplies are available and in adequate supply in all designated areas. This includes informing manager/supervisors of supplies needed. * Receives supplies/inventory and distributes them to their designated areas. This includes organizing all inventory and informing manager/supervisors of any expired items. * Feeds and waters animals as directed, and supplies basic maintenance and animal husbandry for any animals housed in the medical clinic department. * Helps prevent spread of disease by using proper cleaning protocols daily and/or up to several times throughout the day. * Washes and dries kennel and surgical recovery laundry. * Performs routine maintenance on medical equipment as needed. * Provides information and assistance to internal and external customers as required. * Completes surgical discharges of patients to their owners by providing detailed post-operative care instructions. This position requires access to secure storage space (residential or commercial) to receive, unpack, and set up, items that are going to patient homes.Essential Functions: • Deliver, set up, and assemble various types of home medical and durable medical equipment (HME/DME), including hospital beds, wheelchairs, oxygen concentrators, CPAP devices, and other related equipment, at patients' homes., • Install DME/HME Items in Patient homes including Grab Bars, Handheld Shower Heads, etc., • Provide thorough education to patients and caregivers on the proper use, maintenance, and safety precautions for the equipment delivered., • Conduct equipment checks to ensure functionality and safety prior to delivery and setup., • Clean, disinfect, and perform functional checks on all medical equipment before and after delivery., • Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting of equipment, both at the patient's home and upon return., • Respond to emergency and on-call requests for equipment delivery, repair, or replacement, including during nights, weekends, and holidays., • Document patient interactions, including the services provided, equipment setup, patient education, and any outcomes related to care., • Complete and maintain accurate documentation of all deliveries, setups, patient education, and equipment maintenance according to company procedures and regulatory requirements., • Ensure compliance with company policies, manufacturer guidelines, and federal and state regulations related to HME/DME services., • Report any malfunctions, repairs, or patient concerns to management and take immediate steps to resolve issues., • Maintain a clean and organized delivery vehicle and ensure proper handling and storage of equipment during transport., • Assist with special projects and perform other duties as assigned., • during the performance of certain job duties.Job Requirements and Qualifications:, • High school diploma or GED required, • Owns and has consistent access to a truck, van, or large SUV that will accommodate large DME items and equipment., • Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in a medical equipment delivery, maintenance, or similar role is preferred., • Detailed knowledge of how to set up, assemble, and troubleshoot hospital beds, wheelchairs, oxygen concentrators, CPAP supplies, and other HME/DME., • Experience with Brightree (Mobile Delivery & Transport Manager) Preferred., • Strong ability to interact compassionately and professionally with patients and caregivers, providing clear instructions and support., • Ability to lift and move heavy equipment (up to 100 pounds) and work in a physically demanding environment., • Must be able to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays, to meet patient needs., • Effective verbal and written communication skills to document deliveries, educate patients, and communicate with team members., • Ability to troubleshoot equipment issues and resolve them quickly in the field., • This position involves potential exposure to hazardous chemicals, blood, or other potentially infectious materials. Location: Mike O’Callaghan Military Medical Center (MOMMC) Las Vegas Blvd N, Nellis AFB. Schedule: 6:00am-4:30pm Monday–Friday. Shifts will normally be scheduled for a 10-hour period, to include an uncompensated 30-minute lunch break; with flexible 8,10, or 12-hour shifts that vary depending on workload and patient care.
