ECHO Realty is looking for a System Administrator to join our IT team. The Team Our four-person IT team is responsible for the day-to-day administration, support, maintenance, and continuous improvement of ECHO’s technology environment. • We are different than your typical IT team and operate as an integrated part of our company., • We challenge ourselves to be approachable, understand business needs, identify areas where technology can make an impact, and work closely with our colleagues to deliver creative solutions., • We ensure the reliability, security, and performance of core infrastructure, end-user systems, identity and access services, collaboration platforms, and related business technology. The Role This position will support the operational continuity, standardization, incident response, and delivery of secure, high-quality IT services across the organization. We are looking for someone who can: • Model ECHO’s core values (The ECHO Way) and exhibit exemplary leadership, • Administer and support Windows and/or macOS endpoints, core business systems, user accounts, email, collaboration platforms, and enterprise applications, • Monitor and maintain server, storage, network, backup, endpoint management, and cloud-based systems to ensure availability and performance, • Provision, configure, maintain, and decommission user devices, accounts, groups, permissions, and software in accordance with company standards, • Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, connectivity, authentication, printing, and application issues across office and remote environments, • Execute routine operational tasks including patching, upgrades, system hardening, backup verification, asset lifecycle activities, and preventive maintenance, • Support identity, access, and security controls including MFA, least-privilege access, device compliance, logging, and policy enforcement, • Document configurations, procedures, standards, diagrams, troubleshooting steps, and support knowledge for repeatable operations, • Participate in incident response, root-cause analysis, remediation, and recovery efforts for outages, security events, and service disruptions, • Assist with implementation and administration of endpoint management, MDM, scripting, automation, and systems integration initiatives, • Coordinate with vendors and internal stakeholders to resolve escalated issues, manage support tickets, and maintain service quality, • Support office technology, conference room systems, printers, telecommunications, and other end-user productivity services as required, • Maintain confidentiality, integrity, and availability of company systems and data in all administrative activities, • Execute other job-related duties, projects, and responsibilities as assigned by the Vice President of InfoSec & Tech, • Support ad-hoc operational, technical, and administrative needs of the department and organization, including tasks not otherwise listed in this description, • Travel to our satellite offices (currently located in Nashville, TN and Carmel, IN) on a quarterly basis, • Travel to remote properties as needed The Technology We use a variety of technologies at ECHO and are looking for someone with expertise in several of these areas: • Microsoft 365, Intune, and Entra ID, • Ubiquiti networking, • NetApp storage, • Windows Server, Windows 11, macOS, iOS, Android, • File sharing, backups, and common business applications, • Scripting or automation tools like PowerShell or shell scripting, • Security-minded administration practices, including access control, endpoint protection, patching, and auditability Other skills you’ll need to be successful • System administration across workstation, server, SaaS, and cloud environments, • Strong troubleshooting and root-cause analysis, • Identity and access management discipline, • Security awareness and adherence to operational controls, • Patch, configuration, and change management, • Backup, recovery, and business continuity support, • Documentation and process standardization, • Customer service and end-user support orientation, • Ability to prioritize multiple issues and deadlines, • Clear written and verbal communication, • Sound judgment and discretion with sensitive information, • Initiative, ownership, and follow-through, • Ability to work independently in a lean IT environment, • Continuous improvement mindset with automation aptitude Education and work experience requirements • Associate’s or bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field is preferred, • Equivalent, relevant work experience may be substituted for formal education, • 3+ years of hands-on IT support or system administration experience is preferred, • Industry certifications such as Microsoft, CompTIA, or similar are a plus Our Culture At ECHO, we’ve gone to great lengths to build a culture of empowerment and integrity.
