Job Summary and Qualifications The Nuclear Medicine Technologist produces images in accordance with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) and Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist Certification Board (NMTCB) standards. Furthermore, the technologist will perform within the guidelines set by the Bureau of Radiation Control, Hospital Policies and Procedures Manual and the Radioactive Materials License. The Nuclear Medicine Technologist is accountable to the Radiation Safety Officer for ensuring all regulations are in compliance in the Department. Provides services using radioisotopes to assist in the diagnosis or treatment of disease. The Nuclear Medicine Technologist demonstrates knowledge of the human structure and functions, patient care, positioning, principles of nuclear medicine, radiation protection and specialized techniques.
