Powell Service Division is looking for a highly skilled and motivated Senior Service Technician interested in joining one of the nation’s leading providers of medium and low voltage switchgear. Powell Service Technicians are responsible for ensuring the end to end safety, quality and performance of Powell equipment across the US and Canada. This includes performing installations, preventative maintenance, corrective maintenance, and periodic supervision of small crews. The ideal candidate thinks critically, can work well independently, and is a problem solver. Senior service technicians are expected to service the west coast, gulf coast south, offshore and east coast service regions. Qualified Service Technicians are provided safety and technical training with full office support. Summary: The ARC (Animal Recovery Center) facility is dedicated to the recovery and rehabilitation of victims of cruelty and neglect admitted through NYPD and the ASPCA’s Humane Law Enforcement (HLE) and Community Engagement (CE) programs. Our dedicated team of more than 45 sheltering, medical, and animal behavior professionals work closely with the ASPCA Animal Hospital, Forensics, Legal Advocacy and Investigations, Behavioral Sciences, Shelter Medicine Services, Community Engagement, Placement, and the Adoption Center teams to ensure coordinated response and operations, and holistic, balanced, high quality care for the animals we serve. The Licensed Veterinary Technician at the ASPCA Animal Recovery Center (ARC) is responsible for a broad range of medical and administrative tasks in ARC that serves animals admitted through the NYPD Partnership program. The LVT delivers compassionate nursing care and has a broad knowledge of animal science, medicine, and husbandry, including a basic knowledge of pharmacology, shelter medicine, behavior, and proficient mathematical skills. One of the most critical functions of this role is serving as a member of a team of medical, behavior and sheltering operations personnel, all dedicated to working together to provide holistic care for victims of cruelty and neglect. The schedule is Sundays-Wednesdays from 9a-7p. Created as a grassroots response to intimate partner violence and sexual assault, VIP has always centered survivors in its leadership and has worked to create a community of staff that reflects the rich national, ethnic and racial diversity of the communities it serves. VIP runs four non-residential social service programs, two residential shelter and housing programs, and a robust community engagement team. The Moriviv Residential Programis a 51-bed scattered site safe dwelling. The goal of this program is to provide short-term shelter for survivors of domestic violence and their children. Supportive services offered at Morivivi include individual counseling, support groups, case management, childrens services, housing advocacy, and referrals for educational/vocational facilities and job preparation.
