Job Description AC UNIT ASSEMBLERS NEEDED 2nd Shift | $19/hr | June 1st Start Date Job Description The Assembler builds and installs components on a new production line for large HVAC units. This role works at a designated station on the line, performing semi-repetitive tasks with some variation, using hand and power tools, cranes, hoists, and basic blueprint reading to complete mechanical and electrical assembly safely and accurately. Responsibilities • Assemble base preparations and install components for a new production line of large HVAC units., • Work at a designated workstation on the line, performing semi-repetitive assembly tasks with variations as needed., • Read and interpret basic blueprints and prints to follow assembly instructions and specifications., • Use hand tools, power drills, manipulators, cranes, hoists, and other equipment to assemble and install parts., • Handle larger units and heavy assemblies safely, including the use of cranes, ladders, and lifting equipment., • Perform mechanical assembly and assist with electrical tasks such as basic wiring as required., • Follow established manufacturing processes and adhere to production schedules and quality standards., • Troubleshoot basic assembly issues and make minor adjustments to ensure proper fit and function of components., • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area, following all safety procedures and guidelines., • Stand and move throughout the shift while assembling large HVAC units on the production line., • Contract: 3mth Contract to Hire, • Location: Blythewood, SC, • Pay: $17.50/hr base + $1.50/hr shift differential = $19/hr You will join a growing manufacturing operation that is launching a new production line, offering the chance to work with modern equipment and contribute to building large, high-quality HVAC units. Work Environment This position is based on a production floor working on a new line for large HVAC units. Standard hours are Monday through Friday on an afternoon/evening shift, typically from 3:00 p.m. to 11:15 p.m. or 12:15 a.m., with every other weekend overtime based on production demand. You will stand and move for most of the shift while working at a workstation on the line. The environment involves frequent use of hand tools, power tools, power drills, manipulators, cranes, hoists, and ladders, and includes handling heavy components and large assemblies. The facility operates as a typical manufacturing setting, with a focus on safety, proper use of equipment, and adherence to established processes; appropriate work attire and personal protective equipment are required to perform the job safely.A Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Columbia, SC.
