Schedule: Sunday–Thursday, 9:00 p.m. – 5:30 a.m. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES * Troubleshoot, diagnose, rebuild, replace and complete all required repairs on diesel reefer equipment (THERMO KING & CARRIER TRAILER REFRIGERATION SYSTEMS, Reefer Microprocessors, etc.). * Perform preventative maintenance within manufacturer standards. * Mentor other maintenance shop personnel. * Receive road calls, assign third party vendor, and work with business partners on plan of action. * Utilize fleet maintenance software system tablet to fully document equipment repair and parts used. * Maintain a clean and safe work environment in compliance with workplace safety rules and regulations and government guidelines. * Willingness and capacity to assume increased responsibility and certifications. * Other duties as assigned by manager. SUPERVISION: * N/A RELATIONSHIPS * Internal: All Fleet Technicians, Drivers, Coordinators and Manager. * External: Dealer Service Managers. WORK ENVIRONMENT * Onsite: The associate in this role is expected to perform assigned responsibilities inside a US Foods maintenance facility. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS * Must have 3 years of verifiable hands-on experience as a Fleet Reefer/Refrigeration technician. TK/Carrier Refrigeration Certifications. * Must be willing to travel and attend training provided by US Foods. * Diagnostic and troubleshooting competency relating to reefer equipment repairs. * Successfully demonstrated independent analytical and problem-solving skills. * Must furnish own personal hand tools. * Ability to read and understand technical and online service manuals. EDUCATION * High school diploma or equivalent required. CERTIFICATIONS/TRAINING * EPA 608 (Type 2 or Universal) & EPA 609 Certifications LICENSES * Must possess a valid driver’s license. The expected base rate for this role is $35.66 As applicable, this role will also receive overtime compensation and shift differential .
