Sonographer-Breast Services Operates ultrasound equipment to produce basic diagnostic scans of high quality while ensuring optimal patient care. Breast Center's hours are M-F, 7 a to 4 p or similar. Education • Graduate from an accredited sonography program Experience • For sonographers working in Ultrasound or Mammography, no experience is required; one year of experience in specialty is preferred. Equivalent Education and/or Experience • Education completed in Sonography with current credential from the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS) or the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists - Sonography (ARRT(S)) and hospital sonography experience. Certification/Registration/Licensure -Sonographers working in Mammography (70550) must be registered by the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) or have American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT). If hired with ARDMS, then the breast ultrasound subspecialty RDMS(BR), must be obtained within 12 months of hire date. Maintains required quality standards through use of Peer View and other department metrics reported on a regular basis. Participates in image review and feedback sessions with physicians, senior sonographers, and supervisor., 6. Observes patients during scan to ensure their safety and well being. Able to assess and respond to urgent and emergent patient events and demonstrates ability to obtain appropriate level of emergency assistance., 7. Ensures the accuracy of all data entered into the patient record such as arrival, begin and end exam information. Completes other computerized data entry and charging tasks with correct data to ensure the accuracy of patient records and charges., 8. May access and handle selected medications and contrast media within scope of practice and with supervision and guidance of a Sr. sonographer and/or provider., 9. Maintains and performs basic troubleshooting of ultrasound equipment and informs supervisor and submits tickets as needed to ensure equipment is operable and safe. Ensures broken equipment is taken out of service., 10. Inspects, cleans, and prepares exam rooms after each patient to ensure the efficiency of patient flow within the area. Follows infection prevention practices and completes any logs or documentation as required. Participates in Environment of Care (EOC) rounds and inspection readiness activities., 11. Provide patient care as a Technologist when appropriate; responsibilities include, but are not limited to, performing basic and/or complex procedures on assigned patients to ensure that scanning needs are met. Review physician orders and applicability to the imaging protocol. Screen patients for safety and review any contraindications for exams which would prohibit or modify the exam. What you’ll do: • Lead or independently conduct field surveys, ensuring work is accurate, efficient, and safe within project scope and budget., • Supervise and mentor crew members, fostering a positive and productive team environment., • Operate Trimble GPS, Trimble Robotic Total Stations, Trimble Data Collectors, GNSS, and other specialized equipment for data collection and construction layout., • Perform in-field calculations, construction stakeouts, prepare cut sheets, verifying data accuracy and collaborating with office staff as needed., • Prepare clear field notes and daily reports; promptly transfer digital data and photos to office staff., • Interact professionally with site supervisors and client representatives, ensuring strong communication and service., • Act as site safety leader by reviewing hazards, PPE requirements, and enforcing safety standards., • Minimum of three years of experience as a Crew Chief in boundary, topographic, ALTA, TxDOT surveys, and construction., • Experience with Trimble Robotic Total Stations, Trimble Data Collectors, and GPS equipment., • Valid Texas driver’s license and ability to travel daily to project sites in the DFW area., • Strong planning and problem-solving skills with the initiative to identify and resolve issues in the field. Expect frequent exposure to environmental elements such as heat, cold, sun, rain, wind, wildlife, poison ivy, pollen, and water. Travel Local travel is required throughout the day to drive to project sites and complete survey work. A company vehicle and fuel will be provided. Occasional overnight travel may be requested during the weekdays.
