Job DescriptionEngineering firm that's been in business for decades is looking for a Civil Engineer Department Manager for their Parsippany, New Jersey office! Responsibilities: • Develop/manage Civil Engineering team, • Restructure department to operate effectively in various markets, • Oversee project design, • Coordinate multi-discipline project tasks for site development projects, • Develop site layout/design (site grading/storm drainage, roadway, water/sewer infrastructure, erosion and sediment control), • Ensure high quality projects are completed on time and on budget, • Perform project administration duties, • Coordinate project with other departments, • Establish financial performance goals, • Develop annual business plan to assist in the firm’s growth, • Build/maintain client relationships Requirements: • Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, • 12+ years of leadership, project management and client management experience, • Extensive design experience with a focus on site development projects, • Thorough understanding of entitlement processes, • PE License, • Be established in area with existing relationships in the municipal and private sector, • Manage multiple priorities, • Understanding of municipal engineering principles/practices, • Experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D, Autoturn, hydrology & hydraulics software packages and MS Office Suite, • Current involvement in professional networking organizations, • Strong skills as a presenter Successful applicant must be authorized to work in the USA without sponsorship.
