Job DescriptionSenior Accountant – Construction Industry Greater Philadelphia Area, PA Direct-Hire / Permanent Role Salary: $95,000 – $115,000 base (DOE) + performance bonus + full benefits We are recruiting on behalf of an established, privately held construction company experiencing steady growth across commercial, industrial, and multifamily projects in the Greater Philadelphia region. They are seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to join their finance team in a hands-on, high-visibility role. Key Responsibilities • Full-cycle project accounting: job costing, WIP schedules, percentage-of-completion revenue recognition, change orders, and AIA billing, • Prepare monthly financial statements, variance analysis, and cash flow forecasts, • Oversee AP/AR, lien waiver tracking, subcontractor payments, and retainage, • Partner closely with project managers and estimators to monitor budgets, forecast costs-to-complete, and maximize project profitability, • Ensure compliance with GAAP, tax requirements, and prevailing wage regulations, • Support external audits, banking relationships, and year-end close, • Drive process improvements and mentor junior staff, • Assist with annual budgeting and rolling forecasts Required Qualifications • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance, • 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, • Minimum 2–3 years of construction or project-based accounting (job costing, WIP, AIA billing required), • Advanced Excel skills and hands-on experience with construction ERP systems (Viewpoint, Sage 300 CRE, Procore, Foundation, or similar), • Strong understanding of percentage-of-completion accounting and revenue recognition, • CPA, CMA, or CCP strongly preferred (or active candidate), • Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate with operations teams What’s Offered • Competitive base salary ($95K–$115K) plus annual performance bonus, • Comprehensive health benefits, 401(k) with match, and generous PTO, • Hybrid flexibility after initial onboarding period (primarily onsite), • Clear path for growth into Controller-level roles as the company continues to expand If you have construction accounting experience and are ready to make an immediate impact, please submit your resume for confidential consideration.
