Job Summary The Environmental Field Laborer (Field Tech) must be able to work in compliance on various remediation and industrial maintenance projects. They must adhere to and maintain strict compliance with corporate/office policies and procedures, established health and safety protocols, and all applicable local, state, and federal regulations. This is 100% travel and is a safety sensitive position subject to FRA federal rules and regulations and will be subject to random drug and alcohol testing after hired. Responsibilities: Duties include but are not limited to: • Replace, remove, and repair tracks as well as related components., • Align and slide track tie plates and cut rails to specified lengths, • Handle drilling activities for insertion of bolts or joints, • Remove brush and other vegetation from between rails, • Perform lubrication activities on joints, angle bars, and switches, • Rebuild roadbeds and lay new rail sections, • Operate picks, shovels, bulldozers, and spike driving machines to perform maintenance and repair work on rails, • Repair or replace specific components of the rail track, • Must be at least eighteen (18) years of age., • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs; may be required to work in adverse weather conditions, • Requires the ability to comply with all safety policies and procedures; communicate effectively with co-workers and supervisors to ensure projects are completed properly., • Possess a strong work ethic and desire to learn., • Medical, dental coverage and 401K.

Applicants will perform all aspects of building and maintaining railroad tracks within various industries. Removes and installs railroad ties, rails, turnouts, track fastenings, and track switches, ensuring the safe and proper operation of all vehicles, material, and equipment.
