Job Description Quick but important: applications run through the portal only. No emailed resumes, no follow-up calls to the office. If you call, you'll be automatically removed from consideration. What This Job Actually Is We're looking for a seasoned Loan Processor (LP3) to join a top-producing mortgage team. Your job is to take loans from lock to funding without losing your mind or ours. That means clean underwriting submissions and on-time closings, with a borrower experience that makes them tell their friends. You'll work side by side with the LP2, Team Captain, underwriters, borrowers, and third-party partners. You'll keep files moving and keep conditions to a minimum. You'll be the reason loans close, not the reason they don't. If you know guidelines cold, catch the things other people miss, communicate like a human, and can run a high-volume pipeline without things falling through the cracks, keep reading. Compensation: $50,000 yearly Responsibilities: What You'll Actually Do Day-to-Day Pre-Underwrite • Run files through the pre-underwrite checklist before they go anywhere, • Pull and analyze the cash, credit, and capacity docs, • Send incomplete files back to the LP2 with a clear list of what's missing (cc the team captain when it matters), • Order all the third-party services, • Get clean files into underwriting without overthinking it Post-Underwrite • Read CLAs carefully. Make sure they're clear and accurate., • Check what's already in the file before asking the borrower for something we already have, • Translate underwriter speak into something a borrower can actually understand, • Submit conditions thoughtfully, not in a panic, • Coach the LP2 when their submissions could be tighter, • Send Clear-to-Close to the whole loan team, • Compare ICDs and CDs against the LE and flag anything off Post-Fund • Watch closed loans for funding authorization, • Clear post-funding conditions as they come in, • Help borrowers and team members with anything that comes up after closing Other Stuff That Comes With The Job • Work with the team captain to tighten up LP2 submission checklists and workflows, • Show up for weekly team and pipeline meetings, • Log critical communication in the LOS/CRM (yes, all of it), • Build real relationships with underwriting, closing, funding, post-closing, and QC, • Communicate with borrowers and partners better than the average processor - honestly, that's a low bar, and we want you well above it What You'll Be Measured On Pre-Underwrite • Review every incoming loan within 1 business day of receipt, • Review 5 loans daily (or whatever the team captain tells you), • Submit loans to underwriting within 48 hours., • Average 3 underwriting submissions a day, • 95% or more of your initial CLAs come back with 10 or fewer conditions Post-Underwrite • Two-touch max from CLA to Clear-to-Close, • 95% or more of loans close on time Post-Fund • Anything that pops up post-funding gets handled the same business day Qualifications: What We Need From You • High school diploma or equivalent, • At least 5 years of experience in processing or underwriting mortgages, • You know investor guidelines well, • Comfortable in DU and LP, • You've worked in real LOS systems (Encompass, Calyx Point, Arive, LendingPad, take your pick), • You're tech-fluent. You don't need a tutorial every time we hand you a new tool, • You use AI as a tool, not a crutch. It should make you faster, not sloppier, • You're comfortable in a non-delegated broker environment. We issue our own disclosures, fund off a warehouse line, and you'll live in a lot of different investor portals, • You write and speak clearly, • You manage your time well and don't fall apart under pressure, • You catch details and own your work, • You play well with other departments, • You've finished all the required regulatory and compliance training About Company We've been doing this since Britney and Justin were a thing… so a long time. We talk to people like they're human, and we care. Like, really care. Clients tend to be: • First-time buyers who are nervous about making the wrong move, • Self-employed borrowers with stacks of tax returns, • Tech executives with RSUs and an Outlook calendar that makes you dizzy, • Real estate investors who've outgrown conventional and need someone who isn’t afraid of Non-QM., • Jumbo borrowers who need someone who actually knows more than Fannie/Freddie. We want this to feel good. Not just for clients and the realtor partners who trust us with their paycheck - but for everyone on the team. Nothing we do should feel like a typical lender.
