WHAT WE ARE HUNGRY FOR As District Manager you are responsible for maximizing the assigned district's revenue and cash flow growth by efficient use of people, processes and planning. You will be responsible for the execution of an obsessive guest experience that continually exceeds guest expectations. The ideal candidate will provide leadership and vision to their District management staff in our vision to re-establish the neighborhood bakery café as the heart of the community around the world. KNOWLEDGE AND RESPONSIBILITIES • Support strategic planning, implementation and follow up initiatives amongst the team of managers in their market., • Responsible for the primary focus on corporate café operations and all aspects of corporate talent, including talent acquisition, retention and development, where applicable., • Offer guidance and mentorship to other members of the operations team in their respective market - when / where applicable., • Identifies the training needs of cafe managers and works in conjunction with training team to execute applicable training., • Facilitates one-on-one or classroom training as appropriate and needed with franchisee teams., • Creates a mentoring and supportive environment focused on continuous development of teams., • Supports franchisee owners and their GMs to ensure they have processes and procedures to manage performance, like skills evaluations and assessments and performance management, • Also support owners and GMs to ensure they are knowledgeable and aware of the training and development curriculum to ensure their teams have the training necessary to do their jobs to the best of their abilities., • Continually inspects the Region/District's Operational and Guest Service standards; consistently communicates standards to cafe managers and ensures execution at café level., • Proactively meets or exceeds guest experiences; deals promptly with complaints received and puts action plans into place to address service gaps., • Consistent with the Region/Districts plan, ensures cafe managers have specific, focused and well-executed sales and marketing plans. Evaluates cafe financial progress and performance and helps to develop action plans accordingly., • Ensures adherence to policies and procedures for food and beverage sales and consumption, food safety and health/sanitation., • Ensures that policies and procedures are in compliance with organization's policies and with all local and state regulations., • Utilizes preventive maintenance programs to maintain cafe facilities., • Ability to work varying shifts, weekends and holidays, as well as extended workdays to support business needs., • Other duties may be assigned. WHAT YOU NEED TO HAVE • Bachelor's degree and 5-7 years of progressive related experience in high-volume retail, entertainment, hospitality, or restaurant venue are required., • At least 3 to 5 years of progressive management experience managing teams., • Relevant experience or equivalent combination of education and experience is also acceptable., • Thorough knowledge of working Point of Sale (POS) register systems, Toast experience preferred., • Strong Inventory Planning and Management skills required., • P&L capability and sales/marketing skills and abilities., • Flexible, adaptive, upbeat, open and visible management style, with a successful record of accomplishment of managing senior operations leaders across a large geographically decentralized portfolio., • Passion for people! Job Summary The Local Quality Process Owner is responsible for overseeing and sustaining quality initiatives at the unit level, ensuring alignment with global and regional standards while tailoring practices to local operational needs. Reporting directly to the General Manager, this role plays a key part in embedding a culture of quality across all functional streams. The position also ensures that customer requirements are consistently met through proactive monitoring, training, and collaboration. The Local Quality Process Owner leads local quality projects, supports continuous improvement efforts, and fosters cross-functional engagement to enhance overall performance and customer satisfaction. Annual Salary Range: 105-120k Location: 30 Inip Dr, Inwood NY 11096 Benefits: • 401(k), • Dental insurance, • Disability insurance, • Health insurance, • Paid time off, • Vision insurance, • Daily meals, • Parking Main Duties and Responsibilities Quality Management and Adherence: • Oversee that all agreed customer requirements are consistently met within the local operations., • Coordinate efforts to uphold internal quality standards and specifications., • Define and establish local quality standards and processes to address specific unit needs., • Implement and maintain local Quality Management System (QMS) aligned with global standards., • Support execution of the Quality Roadmap milestones and strategic initiatives. Performance Monitoring and Reporting: • Implement mechanisms to monitor quality performance, identify trends, and report deviations or risks to relevant stakeholders., • Analyze quality metrics to drive data-informed decisions and corrective actions., • Drive local governance and auditing activities to ensure compliance and identify areas for enhancement. Continuous Improvement and Problem Solving: • Lead local quality projects aimed at improving product and service delivery., • Support root cause analysis of quality issues and lead the implementation of preventive and corrective actions., • Identify and facilitate opportunities for continuous improvement within local operational processes. Cross-Functional Collaboration and Support: • Collaborate across departments to ensure seamless integration of quality practices within daily operations., • Act as a liaison between the unit and regional/global quality teams to support alignment and consistency., • Lead the investigation of customer complaints and trends, delivering timely and precise reports to commercial and customer service teams. Quality Culture and Capability Building: • Promote and instill a culture of quality awareness across all levels of the unit., • Develop and deliver quality training to operations teams to support understanding and execution of standards., • Lead local quality awareness campaigns and initiatives to engage staff and reinforce best practices. Education • Minimum of bachelor’s degree in related field or equivalent field experience; advanced degree in related field desirable. Master’s degree preferred. Work Experience • Must have a minimum of 2 years of professional experience in quality management, with demonstrated career growth., • Experience in implementing and maintaining quality systems, standards, and audits, • Preference for experience in airline catering and/or multi-site manufacturing environment., • A proven track record of successful results. Technical Skills • Strong computer literacy and good knowledge of Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, PowerPoint., • Proficiency in quality assurance tools and methodologies., • Excellent interpersonal, influencing, verbal and written communication skills required., • Exemplary English writing skills, with reading and writing proficiency in multiple languages., • Proven teamwork experience in a fast-paced environment., • Passionate and self-motivated., • Detail orientated, flexible and responsive., • Ability to handle multiple tasks and meet tight deadlines.
