Position Summary: The Vice President of Field Operations is responsible for the leadership, performance, and development of Collision Partners' field operations organization. This executive directly leads the company's General Managers and serves as a key strategic operating partner to the Executive Vice President of Collision Operations. The Vice President helps develop and prioritize field operating strategies and strategic initiatives, then leads their deployment through the field organization to drive consistent execution and sustainable financial and operational performance across all locations. This role is designed to lead through General Managers - not to function as a roaming General Manager. The Vice President establishes expectations, develops leaders, drives accountability, removes barriers, intervenes when performance falls below expectations, and brings field insight into the development and refinement of company strategy. The Vice President then ensures agreed-upon priorities, standards, and strategic initiatives are effectively deployed and sustained throughout the field organization. Pay: $200,000.00-$250,000.00 w/LTIP eligibility Location: Remote Benefits include 401(k) with matching, health/dental/vision/life insurance, LTD, STD, paid time off, and seven paid holidays Key Success Criteria: Strategic Partnership & Initiative Deployment • Serve as the EVP of Collision Operations' primary field-operating thought partner in the development and prioritization of strategic initiatives, operating priorities, organizational changes, and performance-improvement efforts., • Bring field data, General Manager input, market realities, and firsthand observations into strategy development so initiatives are practical, scalable, and aligned with the needs of the operating organization., • Partner with the EVP to build deployment plans for major initiatives, including sequencing, ownership, communication, resource requirements, implementation expectations, and measures of success., • Lead deployment through the General Manager organization, monitor adoption and business impact, identify barriers or unintended consequences, and partner with the EVP to refine the approach as needed., • Proactively identify emerging risks, operating opportunities, and platform-wide improvements and bring recommendations to the EVP rather than functioning solely as an escalation point. General Manager Leadership & Accountability • Lead, coach, develop, and hold General Managers accountable for the full performance of their locations., • Establish and lead a standardized GM operating review process utilizing company scorecards, location priorities, action plans, and defined follow-up and accountability., • Ensure General Managers function as strong business operators with ownership of their P&L, people, customer experience, and execution., • Identify leadership gaps early and take action to strengthen, develop, or replace leadership as required. Operational & Financial Performance • Own field execution against company financial and operational goals, including sales, profitability, labor productivity, gross profit performance, cycle time, throughput, staffing efficiency, and other key operating measures., • Use operating and financial data to identify performance gaps, determine root causes, and develop actionable improvement plans with General Managers., • Ensure each location has clear priorities and an operating plan aligned with company expectations. Turnaround & Performance Improvement • Lead the field response for underperforming locations and establish structured turnaround plans with clear owners, milestones, and accountability., • Increase field presence and executive support where performance or leadership requires intervention, while avoiding long-term dependency on corporate leadership for day-to-day management., • Remain engaged until corrective actions are implemented and performance is demonstrably stabilized. Execution of the Collision Partners Operating Model • Drive consistent adoption and execution of company operating standards across the portfolio while respecting appropriate local-market differences., • Ensure new processes and enterprise initiatives translate from corporate strategy into practical store-level execution., • Identify field barriers, unintended consequences, and opportunities to improve the operating model, and provide structured feedback to the EVP of Collision Operations. Talent, Organization & Succession • Maintain a strong pipeline of General Manager and field leadership talent to support growth, acquisitions, and succession needs., • Partner with Recruiting and Human Resources on leadership selection, onboarding, development, retention, and performance management., • Develop scalable leadership capability so organizational performance is not dependent on a small number of individual operators. Cross-Functional Leadership • Coordinate closely with corporate functional leaders to ensure field priorities are understood, supported, and executed., • Create clear accountability between field leadership and functional support teams without allowing ownership of store performance to become fragmented., • Hold General Managers accountable for the effective adoption and execution of standards developed by corporate functional leaders, while ensuring functional support teams remain accountable for the expertise, tools, training, and resources necessary to enable field execution., • Lead field execution of acquisition integrations and leadership transitions, including stabilization of operations, establishment of General Manager accountability, deployment of Collision Partners operating standards, and execution of defined integration priorities. Field Visibility & Communication • Maintain a meaningful presence in company locations and use firsthand observation to validate performance beyond dashboards and reports., • Communicate expectations, priorities, changes, and performance issues clearly and consistently to General Managers and field teams., • Surface material risks, recurring barriers, and strategic opportunities to the EVP of Collision Operations with recommended actions. Qualifications • 10+ years of progressive leadership experience in collision repair, automotive service, or a comparable multi-site operating environment, including 5+ years leading multiple locations with direct P&L accountability; collision industry experience strongly preferred., • Demonstrated success leading multiple locations, General Managers, or senior operating leaders with direct accountability for financial and operational performance., • Strong P&L acumen and demonstrated ability to translate financial results and operating data into specific actions., • Proven experience improving underperforming operations, developing leaders, and driving sustained organizational change., • Strong understanding of collision repair operations, production flow, labor management, estimating / repair planning, quality, OEM requirements, customer experience, and insurer / market dynamics preferred., • Experience supporting acquisitions, integrations, new-location launches, or rapid multi-site growth is preferred., • Working knowledge of I-CAR Gold Class standards, OEM certification program requirements, and repair procedure compliance, with the ability to hold field leadership accountable to those standards., • Excellent communication, decision-making, coaching, and executive leadership skills., • Ability and willingness to travel frequently to Collision Partners markets and locations, up to 50-75% based on business needs.
