Job Description Position Summary: This position is fully accountable for the profitable consistent operations execution of a specific shift designated by the Owner/General Manager while adhering to all company guidelines and regulations. The Shift Lead reports to the owner/General Manager. Essential Functions: Ø Ensure the restaurant is in full compliance with all local, state and federal regulations Ø Ensure knowledge, adherence and enforcement of all Firehouse Subs Policies and Procedures Ø Ensure the profitability of the business by operation shifts within established guidelines and requirements for food cost, labor, controllables, utilities and sales growth. Ø Provide leadership to the restaurant team to consistently meet standards of superior customer service, quality and cleanliness while embracing the Firehouse Subs "Culture" of a cheerful and fun work environment. Leadership and professionalism includes however, not limited to, no fraternization of any kind with crew members. Ø Be the “Role Model” for delivering operations excellence. Ø Assist the General Manager in coordinating and implementing current operations game plans and company initiatives in a profitable and timely manner. Ø Participate in interviewing, training and disciplining employees under the guidance of the general manager. Ø Ensure all required programs, reports and legal documents are accurate, complete and accomplished on schedule. Ø “Be Ready”, “Be Focused”, “Be Here”! Ø Understand and demonstrate the behavior of the Concept of “Customer Comes First, Dining Room Second, Everything Else is Last” Supporting Duties: • Able to work on his/her feet for extended periods of time, • Able to lift up to 50 lbs, • Maintain awareness and participation in community affairs to take advantage of sales and public relations opportunities, • Represent Firehouse Subs in a professional and positive manner at all times, • Communicate effectively to Owners, General Manager and Firehouse Subs Home Office Personnel all issues and opportunities which may impact business, • Maintain restaurant equipment in full working order and communicate problems immediately to Owner/General Manager, • Ability to analyze business trends and help develop plans/implement plans for success. Any other duties assigned by General Manager/District Manager/Owners.
